Again the PI should have been called. So should have a number of other non calls. If you are a Saints fan or coach and blame the game on 1 non call you are not being fair to what really happened. After a 13-0 lead caused by Rams sloppy offensive play, saints excellent defensive play and YES crowd noise you got outscored 10-26 and outcoached. Better play after the first quarter would have sealed a Saints victory. That is the truth and something that is MUCH bigger than the non PI call. Don’t fool yourself otherwise.

Uh, dollars to donuts if the refs miss a call like that Jesus is calling God asking “wtf was that?”
I'm sure they had a talk after the Pittsburgh game too in which terrible officiating knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs and gave the Saints the home field advantage in the playoffs-- if you want to blame things on the officials.

Was Jesus calling God about the facemask on goff on the previous drive where we would get a new set of downs ball on the one ability to take clock down a bit especially in this day and age where you can't breathe on the qb that wasn't called and aikman said it as well. Was god on speed dial then????

As I said in another post too mike Thomas should of pulled out another cell phone this time to call upper management to get him another wide receiver for help maybe if he plays better saints win. And the muppet beeker looking dude is asking for a do over well that's what overtime was and you failed. Enjoy the golf course. Who dat....is now where u at???? Home!!!!'

Something this blatant that costs a team a trip to the Super Bowl was bound to happen sooner or later, I think we would all agree it was inevitable. I'm glad it didn't happen IN the Super Bowl because that would be SO fucked up.

My hope is that the Competition Committee will now see fit to allow coaches to use their two challenges on anything, including plays like what we just saw.

Trust me, I'm glad the Rams won, and I'm glad to see them in the Super Bowl, but that was a monumental mistake and it was two obvious calls, helmet to helmet and DPI. Either could have been called.

I don't feel especially bad about it, mostly because of SP and the whole BountyGate thing because that was some despicable shit. But I've been around enough to know that could happen to our Rams as easily as not.

I know it's come up in meetings before and that some coaches support it, hopefully it'll get done. It's the smart play for the NFL.

Don't agree.

Full time crews is the answer.

But they will also be human, and will also make mistakes.

Why allow a review on some things, but not others?

It makes no sense.

Most sports has the human element. There's just so many moving parts in football.

It will never be perfect but the human side has a lot of room for improvement.

The NFL just had to spend the money.

This one is apparently legal when a QB is in the pocket? Was mind boggling when Aikman said it, so I did check the rule....sure enough...

All the things that you get roughing the passer calls for, but not a horse collar....
Isn’t a horse collar tackle a penalty though?

The rationale, I think, is that when the QB is in the pocket, he's not running. A horse collar tackle, as you know, can cause serious injury when you use it on a guy who's on the move. That said, I don't think Goff was still in the pocket.

You guys had a chance after week 9 to get homefield advantage (remember, we lost to Dallas).

Your confusion is misguided. Good for you guys you get the Saints at your place next year. Maybe you can round up enough fans to have a homefield advantage?
Yet your team and the refs basically screwed the steelers. I feel no sympathy for your saints all season your team lived on the bad call non call side of the game and it worked well for you and this time it bit you in the ass.

Maybe look a little deeper into your coach and his cocky play calls on that drive. Or maybe his sheer lack of focus on winnjng the game over whining about his luck after said horrible calls all the way into overtime.

However do not come on to this board and call out anyone on here's Fandom. When you can't even follow a mods request and stay out of the game day thread. Up unto that and now this I had some respect for you but this my friend is troll behavior and you need to go back to your forum and not return
