It's certainly arguable either way. Except for Klubnik who I keep thinking is a junior.
I'm not sure Mateer is 6'1" he may be a little shorter than that. So if he comes in just over six foot he's not gonna go early, at least not with his current film.
Mensah on the other hand has more of the tool box you see of the guys who have potential to jump in round 1, meaning his height is over that 6'2" rough threshold. And his film this year looks really good to me, so he's set the stage for a coming out party next year.
For Mateer to jump he'd need elite film, and I don't know that happens if he sticks around. I can feel that ability he's got when I watch him, which is why I like the prospect and he's scrappy as hell but I think he's looking at round 2/3 grade at best whether he comes out or not.
Though one thing I prioritize in all this is draft position and maybe that's not as important to some of these guys as staying in school and slaying ass in the parties. Either way it's going to be cool to see what the class looks like once they're all declared. Because I think it potentially is set up in a way that favors the Rams, with second tier movers who have high competitive levels and fit McVay. I think this is the year we get our QBotF to sit behind 9.
