Traditional wisdom would say you’re right but I suspect this scouting department has had QB as their biggest quest for at least 3 years and I’m confident that they have some ideas that none of us see. Yes, they could have their top choices taken early but they probably also have a couple they’d be willing to make moves for, a QB they think may drop to them or a QB they feel they can nab from another team.
I don’t think we’ll wait another year even if Stafford decides to play in ‘26 or even ‘27.
For sure, this year’s draft will be interesting with two #1s in our pocket and a full complement - at least until the trade deadline. I still think we are in play for a CB. Even if Spoon comes back he will need a couple games to get back up to speed and he’s good but not one I’d trust as the #1 against playoff teams.
I’m expecting that the entire Rams organization would LOVE to win the Superbowl in whiner land. And isn’t SOFI getting another one soon?
I think this organization understands that they can’t win it every year but will do what it can to be in contention and then pull the trigger when it’s within their grasp.
McVay is in a great situation and so are Snead, Pastoors, and KD. I’m guessing they realize that and I see no reason for those core people to move on or retire.
Our owner is shrewd and spends money to have people who know football. And he leaves them the fuck alone. And the Rams are his crown jewel.
Shit! I’m giving myself a woody.
Like a Woody the hype only last SO long.If your thinking about the 2026 Draft,it’s such a HARD call.
There is SO much that goes into it.I’d say from what I’ve seen & also how I feel just continues to hold True!!
First off this thread basically started off as a ARCH Manning Thread ? That was created by a bunch CRAP HYPE(YouTube)Reportering.
WTF-Snead goes to Texas & basically talked with Manning.(my have NCAA Rules changed).Which back in the Day would’ve been boarder line NCAA sanctions .
Then you look how much Manning needs to go & develop.Which makes me LMAO,because after that he was THE NUMBER 1 PICK in 2026!!!! THE RAMS were going to give up 3 FIRST ROUND PICKS.
Then you look at say Jared Goff. What 0 & 7 under Jeff Fisher ??
We can Go back to when Marshall Faulk was traded to The Rams for a 2nd rd pick.(what a HOF draft-Holt needs to go in).
Peyton was like 0-16 to start his NFL career.
The Rams lost to the Jets who were 0-13 & Sam Darnold at SOFI & Zero Fans as an example.
Baker Mayfield was a Ram after getting beat out by Darnold at Carolina & released by request.
Mac Jones all of a sudden was who RAT-BOY traded up for instead of Tre Lance.Which shows YOU(ME) which I’ve always believed is a TOP Rookie QB isn’t worth taking a Risk
for.
As above look at Carolina.I can go ON & ON !!! BTW the Giants lost to Bo Nix after being ahead by how many? You know who THE BEST is who THe RAMS should’ve lost to at SOFI ? The Colts & DANIEL JONES.
The Cardinals just lost with an Ex-PAT(journey man),who also played recently with the Colts.
Aaron Rogers lossing to Joe Flacco?
Is is always WRONG (right),like Purdy you get a player like Dillion Gabriel on the cheap beating Tua who RUINS a FRANCHISE by believing in something that isn’t TRUE!!
I’ll keep my opinion & still believe Mcvay is going to do it his way & Les Snead(scouts) will keep turning stones to find those value players that give The Rams the best opportunity to win.
We can all play fantasy football & criticize Ram Players, but if Fans look at it from the inside looking out it’s a different perspective.
I go by what Sean Mcvay says & trust most of what he is saying.
Which is he believes Jimmy G is still a starting QB in The NFL & there is still good things to come.
BTW Stetson Bennett contract doesn’t end until after The 2026 season.
It’s alright to get a little excited a blow off a little something something just in case.
My case looks back to Wolford who couldn’t even throw & TD in a preseason game.In his career threw 1 TD & 5 int’s. This guy started a head of Jared Goff in a playoff game.
IMO from what I’ve seen even in just OTA’s & preseason games that
Stetson Bennett still has a lot of upside & growth as a NFL QB who is turning 28 on the 28th.SO Happy Birthday Stetson.Looking forward to him continuing his progress in 2026. What happens in 2026 WE know that he’ll be apart of it in some way shape or form.
