I get the head to head theory. But when I look at the entire argument it is flawed. #10 Miami beats #6 Notre Dame by 3 on August 31st. Since then, Notre Dame lost to then #16 Texas A & M (now #3) on September 13th and beat everybody else on their schedule. Miami climbed to #2 before losing to unranked Louisville on October 17th and two weeks later to unranked SMU. IMHO, you can't complain because Notre Dame went on to win 8 in a row while you lost 2 of your last 5 to unranked opponents. Why have a college playoff? Just make the undefeated teams line up and play each other until there is only 1. Stop crying Miami, Notre Dame isn't going anywhere just like you wouldn't if you got into the tourney.

There is no argument.
Miami blew there season by losing to 2 teams they shouldn’t have

If only one gets in, I pick Notre Dame. They had a first-time starter at QB (a RS Freshman), while Miami had a very experienced signal caller. That gave Miami an advantage early. Notre Dame has gotten better as the year has gone on, while Miami has not.

Never seen anything like this
Notre Dame had a 21-0 lead before their offense even stepped on the field
After 2 offensive plays, a 28-0 lead
After 5 offensive plays, a 35-0 lead

To me it’s the choice between a liver omelette and a shit sandwich. I’ll leave yawlz to figure out which is which.

At least I still don’t like cats @dieterbrock

Miami won the head to head, and has a 3-1 advantage in terms of margin of victory against common opponents.

Miami has won their last 4 games by an average of 28 ppg.

If h2h doesn’t mean anything, there’s no point to schedule tough OOC games.

It’s a no brainer if the teams are near each other in the rankings. Miami should be in.
