My plan is to record and get up at 4am to watch before work

And me. I originally took Friday off but both my boss and my assistant are needing to be off too! So damn conscientious.

Xavier Rhodes usually can erase the best WRs. So, I think Cooks might have a 3-39 yards type of day. But, we do have other WRs. Rhodes is the best press corner...imlo
If Rhodes tries to use press coverage on Cooks he better jam him hard, otherwise he’ll be trying to catch up - not one of his strengths. Also, look for McVay to move the receivers around - including inside where Rhodes rarely plays.
Guys, I love McVay like the rest of you, but let's temper our praise just teeny bit. Don't get me wrong, he's done an outstanding job changing the culture of our organization, bringing us a division title, and, as of now, making us a deep playoff contender. BUT, that does not make him the greatest, most omnicient, coach of all-time - not yet at least. We havent won a playoff game yet, and to be honest, he was outcoached by the Falcons in that game and by the Vikings last year. Our offense is new and innovative, but let's not pretend like there are not other outstanding defensive minds in the league that can make adjustments. Do we really think McVays offense mind is better the Wade's defensive mind?

I' just saying, let's win some playoff games and perhaps a championship before we crown McVay as the GOAT.

Ogletree and Cooper's blunders do not have to do with our offense. It was one possession game at the half. The Falcons D stopped us from scoring many points, fair and square.
Combine that with 2 poor back up DBs and Hatfield being absolutely scorched and you have the recipe for that viqueens game. That game was a winnable game despite what the score says. Go back and watch it again.

I’ll agree that ATL’s game plan was better than ours - slightly. Not being able to stop the run and two drive extending brain farts were not really a matter of being out coached though.

Put Donald or Suh up against O'Neill. O'Neill is very athletic, but he's also very weak.
Your right on target here jrry32:sneaky:. Permit me to review on what we know at this time here about this Viking OL.

Vikings gets some positive news on this OL where last yrs starting center Pat Elflein (ankle) has returned to the OL for the first time this season.
https://www.vikings.com/news/notebook-elflein-ready-to-resume-starting-role

Starting OG's are Tom Compton & Mike Remmers. Compton was a back up with the Bears in 2017 & Remmers who started @ RT last season with the Vikings. Remmers was a Ram back in 2014. This Remmers first season where he is a starting OG. The OT's are in flex @ the moment with injuries having hurt the two starters for the last several weeks.

@ the moment it is slated that veteran LT Riley Reiff is very Unhealthy(foot) & the starting RT Rashod Hill (foot) will probably start @ LT. In truth Hill natural OL post is @ LT but he has been hurting & just now getting healthy. Hill's replacement @ RT will be rookie OT Brian O'Neil. It will be his first start. McNeil was a 2018 2nd roud draft pick.

For those members who watched how the Bill's annihilated the Viking offense this past Sunday. Bills overloaded the exterior wings of the Viking OL. Wonder if Wade will provide Suh some fun on the outside where he places him heads up over the Rookie RT after mugging center Elflein repaired ankle a true test? I not sure that Vikings LG Tom Compton has ever lined up in front of a DT like Aaron Donald before.

on the offense the plays were there players had untimely drops such as Kupp and the touchdown that was reversed in the 3rd qtr on the pass to Higbee. McVays plays worked but experience by some players played a big factor on the scoring.

Wade had Suh playing on the outside in the 2nd half of the Charger game, with Westbrooks, AD, and Brockers all moving in and out, confusing Bolts OL. It worked. Rams were hurrying Rivers. Wr's going deep, trying to take advantage of Peters and Talib not being there didn't work.

I don't think it really worked. They looked better in that second half, to me anyway. More shots downfield, which means they had time for longer developing plays, which means we didn't have the pass rush we thought we did.

I know you commented specifically on the DL here ....If you have the time I might suggest that you review the 3rd quarter of the Chargers game 1maGoh. THis is where the old outdated DC woke up from his nap & putin a new wrinkle into the defensive game plan. Wade keeps Ramik Wilson & Marqui Christian in both interior LB'ing posts. Keep an eye on where #58 lines up & keep count on how many times Cory puts it in reverse or forward during this 3rd quarter. I am thinking Cory had approx. 8 forwards into the Chargers OL most from the Easley/Longacre position.

While Cory did not get a sack.... Rivers saw & felt the pressure. Yes the Chargers did score on one deep pass to Williams in the 3rd quarter when safety Lamarcus Joyner was sleeping :sleep:and very late to cover the WR:mad:. The 3rd quarter was full of very fast releases of short completions nothing else in the middle or deep.

:):grouphug:I am right there with you on Cory my good Ram bud!

Thursday Night I am going to keep an eye open for where our defensive Captain linesup. Since Wafe has OLB Easley out & OLB Longacre is still working himself into shape after off season back surgery & a Training Camp bicep injury that kept him out of practice for TC & pre season...he critical that he find a player who can produce some outside rush pressure. I thought is its Cory job to amke the plays here.

Rhodes reputation is deceiving. I recently read some stats and he really isn’t as good as he seems. He won’t shut down Cooks.

The question is: "What are They Saying?"

Not much else to say. The Rams are looking like one of the best team in the NFL and the Vikings' ship is taking on water at an alarming rate. A respectable showing by the Vikings on the road may ease some of "the sky is falling" thoughts amongst the fanbase.
