Pats vs. Rams Superbowl pre-game analysis

They are not the same offense without Cooper Kupp.

Goff is not the same QB without Kupp.

With Cupp and KC game (which was the first one he missed) 35 ppg.

After Kupp & KC: 24ppg

Goff w/ Kupp + KC game= 68% comp, 322ypg, 113 rating, 2.4TDs, .5INT per game

Goff after KC no Kupp= 59% 232ypg, 76.08 rating, 1TD, 1INT per game.

What type of dipshit analysis is this? Kupp didn't play against KC. If the argument is that Goff isn't the same QB without Kupp, you can't take out the KC game. It's pretty clear Admiral Asshat is trying to cherry-pick.

Is that why Belichick is still there? Of course not. Is that why Brady is still there? Of course not. Is that why Scarnecchia is still there? Not really, he retired and they talked him into coming back. Is that why McDaniels is still there? Not really because he left and bombed on his own. So is Romeo Crennel's, Charlie Weis's, and Eric Mangini's failures as HCs the reason they have that continuity, no. Further, what difference would it make, they have the kind of continuity of excellence at those spots no one else has.

Point being that teams aren’t lining up to hire NE coaches just because they were under BB.

That helps with the longevity. They didn’t have that when all those guys started leaving during a close timeframe. If all those coaches were HCs with teams in the playoffs, you can guarantee that there’d be less continuity than there is now.

One of the four I named is Belichick, obviously, he isn't leaving. Another is Brady, obviously, he isn't leaving. The third is 'Scar', the offensive line coach, he never wanted to be a head coach. The fourth is McDaniels, he left and came back. So your theory doesn't apply except in one case and in that case, he was hired elsewhere, failed and came back. And even at that, the Colts went after him last year.

Further, what difference does it/would it make? The continuity is there, the reason doesn't matter, and it's a big advantage. While most of the NFL is playing musical chairs the Patriots staff is comparably steady. Ask any players you know what the advantage of that is?

I strongly disagree and I’ll leave it at that.

That fat, bearded, rocket scientist, homeless looking bastard in Detroit exited the cheaters.

Tennessee's coach was a cheater too... whatever the fuck his name is.

I am happy the Patriots are favored, because it will give us an edge.

But how exactly are they favored? It's bizarre. We are the better team almost no matter how you slice it. I guess I might be confident too with them having Brady...but still a little strange.

Nice analysis. Kupp didn't play in KC and Goff had a historically good day, in what many consider the best game ever played. Josh Reynolds has emerged as a budding star in Kupps place. The Rams have gone to a heavy run offense in many games, and had a few tough, low scoring games. But this dudes analysis, leaving out the KC game, is the most laughable example of cherry picking I have ever seen.

if the person facing him down is Marcus Peters (whose willingness to tackle strongly resembles Chris Canty's
Sadly, one of the few truths in this list of glue-sniffing comments. Peters, (and Talib) sometimes are guilty of being HUGE pussies that appear afraid of contact. It would be nice not to see this in the Super Bowl.

"Thanks Jerry."

I mean, Goff just out played Drew Brees in the superdome. Not everyone can be Tom Brady who threw a game ending pick and was bailed out by a offside call that had no effect at all.

I know you're kinda joking but it can't be understated how freaking lucky that team has been in the playoffs with game ending turnovers being reversed or the opposition making bonehead decisions which gives the game to them. They must have made a deal with the devil.

It began with the tuck rule and it hasn't let up in the following two decades.

Not joking at all. Luckiest QB in history blessed with great defenses and the GOAT coach.
