At least OUR QB....yep, the kid did something good in the bye week...I haven't seen him on anything....so hopefully he went to work with Sammy, Cooper & Cooper, Woods, Everett, and Higbee....just continue to build chemistry.

Am I the only one that finds the term "trap game" when it comes to the Rams as a bit odd?

The current head coach isn't Jeff "I'm giving you guys some time off after every win" Fisher. More and more I'm beginning to believe Sean McVay is not just a disciplinarian but a perfectionist and a hard ass.

It's seriously doubtful he would allow any player or coach to slack off this week because we're facing the Giants. It's possible we may lose for a combination of many reasons but taking the Giants lightly won't be one of them.

Yeah the only trap in this game is if they don't get good pressure on Manning and he gets hot. Which can happen any time you play a streaky QB like him. If that happens we're in a shootout. If not it's probably a blowout or at the least a comfortable win.

McVay definitely will have this team tuned up and ready to roll man. And while Spags is known for having his front four rise up and win games the combo of our OL quality and the depth of the Giants' secondary make that a difficult proposition. Rams will be up for this one.

It's funny how fans of both teams seem to see this an easy Rams victory yet, the Rams are only favored by 3.5 points. McVay knows that no win in the NFL is easy and I'm sure he has been reminding everyone that they have to play their best to beat the Giants.

Anyone who has watched enough of this game understands the "any given Sunday" element the NFL brings and how no game is a sure thing no matter how bad the opponent. But that said I think the Rams fans in general need to get more used to having a GOOD team. By which definition they're going to beat the subpar opponents in most cases.

They had a scare vs the 9ers, who rose up to give them all they could handle. For many teams that would have been an any given Sunday upset, but this team took care of business. This is a good team and there's really no reason to think they won't take care of business. Just get pressure on Manning early and often, and keep scoring to raise the pressure on the team overall until they crack.

Whitworth’s contract is in essence a 2 year deal with a reasonably priced second year and a team option $10.75 M third year. He probably makes two seasons, but should have a shot for 2019. Don’t think any tackles play 200 games.
How many games did Jackie Slater play!?o_O

Edit: Answer; Slater played in 259 Games w/ 211 starts! I say Whitworth can do it too!!:D

And there it is. (y)

The last time we didn't have a losing record was 2006 when we went 8-8. That was 11 years ago. Since then our combined record before this season was 46-113-1. Any fanbase would be shell shocked after that and wonder when things would begin to fall apart again. All hail Rams fans. :grouphug:

I watched the Giants live make a nice come back on the Eagles to lose on a 61 yard FG. Manning got the hot hand in the fourth quarter. I watched the Bucs highlights. They started slow and really had some poor tackling. Read they should have won the Chargers game. Watched the Hags game live which showed the WR injury problems. They could NOT move the ball but, played good defense in the first half. Overall the Rams are getting the Giants at a good time. No Jenkins or OBJ and other injuries. Both are real impact players.

I wrote the above as you were posting this. The Rams should take care of business against the Giants. It does take getting use to having the Rams play well in all three phases of the game. If the Giants were healthy and JJ was playing then I would be much more concerned. Manning can get hot. Yup, get pressure on Manning and score to put more pressure on the Giants.

Statistical rankings going into Sunday's game:

Offense - Rams 5, Giants 29
Defense - Rams 14, Giants 26
Special Teams - Rams 1, Giants 32

Then again, on any given Sunday...

The Giants are very similar to the Rams of last year. No OL, Good Defense. Now they have an injury bug.
The 1-6 Giants could easily be 4-3, right now. They won a lot of close games last year but are losing the close ones this year. So this isn't a gimme, and is very much a trap game.

McVay - Phillips - Bones and Company don't strike me as the Type of Coaches to let there players Fall into a Trap!:D

The sad part of reading your post and viewing your pictures is that it really hits home that the most joy I’ve gotten watching this team in my lifetime was when I still had a black and white TV!

Giants fan: This team is arguably the worst run team in the NFL.

Cleveland fan: ... really? You wanna take a minute?
