It sucks to suck. I wasn’t able to watch the game but followed it online. Appears Darnold did not get pressured much and Goff/offense had another horrible first half. Not sure if it’s s confidence or ability thing but they are both limited.

And those three points wouldn’t matter if the special teams did their job and didn’t allow a punt blocked. We can go back and forth on hypotheticals but the fact is, when the game was still winnable, there were two stupid play calls. Called by McVay, executed by Goff. We don’t know what the instructions on either play were, we know that they were stupid calls considering the situation.

The superbowl was a loss against arguably the greatest head coach/QB combination of this generation. This loss was against a guy who will probably never again hold a head coaching position in the NFL, a QB that everyone is casting off on his rookie contract, and a defensive coordinator they promoted after firing their full-time one. This was a complete embarrassment, I don’t give a shit what anyone says.

I agree that this game is embarrassing, I got to go to work and listen to a 9er fuck, but the SB was on the biggest stage and they scored the least amount of points ever in the SB. No comparison. Oh and by the way, I wish I hadn't brought it up cause now I feel worse.

Shitty loss but the whole team played poorly and the Jets played with a lot more energy and a lot more prepared. This is the best I've seen the Jets play (out of the two games I've watched of them).

I'm not huge on the playcalls either.. but i can understand the thinking - we never throw it deep, they are going to play the sticks.

While i wasn't a fan of the call - i get the thinking behind it.

McVay's response to the 3rd and 4th down play calls. And people want to blame this shit on him. Goff makes bad decisions all the time, and has trouble reading a defense + going through progressions. But yea lets blame McVay like those plays only had 1 receiving option. Fuck outa here.

3rd and 4: "We had SOME LOOKS" that means plural people. Goff chose the deep route to Akers.
4th and 4: " Cooper on an underneath route" Goff chose to go deep to Everett

They just lost a GENERATIONAL, FRANCHISE QB for a road win in week 14 of what will be a 1-15 season.

This is the very definition of a Pyrrhic Victory.

We just had a shit game and we'll still likely make the playoffs.

Jets fans... I was watching a stream of a Jets streamer after the game and Jets fans are... inconsolable.

I mean, Trevor Lawrence has graded out by some as better than Manning or Luck coming out. He's at least among those grades.

Why the Jets didn't fire Gase and instruct the coaches to play a lot of rookies, I dunno.

But who's more disgusted, heartbroken and upset?

I heard McVay's press conference. I don't mind going for it but you've got to exploit the mismatch after you get the first. All the routes should have been designed to get the first.

I watched every snap, and he got outplayed by Sam Darnold. That is what actually happened.

Terrible 1st half including another laughable INT, and crumbled under pressure all night with happy feet. Skipped two balls to WRs on 3rd down. Got lucky and should've thrown a 2nd INT to Everett but the defender tipped it straight up.

Chance to win the game late but doesn't. People want to blame the 3rd/4th and 4 calls on McVay, when Goff was the ones making the decision. There were other receivers on those plays, not just one place to go with the ball.

Using your logic mcvay/Staley got outcoached by whoever is on the jets staff. But nope your goff hate blinds you from that. Apparently the only one who can win or lose rams games is goff.

Goff did not take care of the football and didn't show good touch
Defense had several bad plays
Offense had some questionable penalties called against them, that were not called against the Jets
Mix in some bad play calling and no game plan and that's how you lose a game
