Ah, the old YAC reference to only bash the quarterbacks you don't like. Alvin Kamara is clearly carrying Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers is so overrated, Devante Adams is one of the greatest receivers in the league; because he leads the league in Yards after catch. You guys are so beyond frustrated you don't even use logic or context anymore. Nobody is denying the fact this dude gets happy feet in the pocket under pressure. But how did he get there? Did he just put the pressure on himself? How about the fact that his line is barely inside the top ten because they are very spotty in pass protection at times? Is that Goff's fault too? Should we only pay attention to the awful interception he had, and not the passes where he threw some guys open?

The entire offense is inconsistent. We can agree Goff doesn't make those better around him but few quarterbacks do. But when guys are dropping catchable balls, and pass protection is inconsistent; guess what you get? Inconsistent play at quarterback. We have been this way since last year, and despite this; we are still finding ways to score. We are dealing with inconsistency from all angles at the moment, and the easiest person to blame is Goff. That's why so many people come to his defense. Because you guys offer anger but zero solutions that make sense. And by the way, those short passes are by design. We don't have the line for routes to develop on a consistent basis. Nor do we have a receiver with the speed to take the top off of a defense.

Goff is above average because he boasts more wins than losses. Goff is above average because although he doesn't post gaudy touchdown numbers, we often rely on his high yardage to put us in the red zone for running plays. Goff is above average because he's been to a Super Bowl. And most of all, Goff is above average because he's outlasted most quarterbacks that came in before or with him. In the even Sean McVay decides to get rid of him, then I'll jump ship. But for now I'm going to trust the head coach, and his guy. And his guy is Goff.
I just don’t respond to some posters

Yea lets not use the "nerd QB stats".. who needs them right? Touchdowns, turnovers, passer rating, QBR.. You know, the way you evaluate a QBs performance.

Instead lets highlight Goff's solid yardage totals...but leave how how the Rams are ranked #2 in YAC and were #1 in YAC last year.

Or lets highlight his 9 wins this year... but leave out how we have a top 10 rushing attack and the #2 defense in the NFL.

Or highlight his completion % this year, which is the highest in his career... but leave out how Goff is ranked dead last #32 in average depth of target (4.8yds). He completed 3 passes today beyond 10 yards on 34 attempts.

Using a team stat like wins to talk Goff up, but then ignoring all the individual passing stats makes no sense at all. Goff is the definition of an average QB.
Thanks bud.
You just proved my point, regarding, McVay playing a ball control offense to kill the clock.

Urgent needs to be addressed in the offseason

1) STUD Center. We need someone who can stand up the NTs of the league.

2) Burner WR. We need someone who runs in the 4.3 range or faster to take the Safety and maybe a DB with him

3) STUD ILB who can cover, tackle and remain healthy. Honestly in this defense, a James Laurinitis type would be fine. Don't need a thumper, but someone who can cover and tackle. I'd prefer a London Fletcher type, but I'll settle. We just need someone who isn't a liability. Sorry, but while it was Young making the misread on the TD, how many times did Reeder NOT make the play. Him making the goal line pass defense near the end of the game doesn't change how many plays he left on the field.
Would you like fries with that?

If the Rams completed the CV comeback yesterday the narrative on this board would be

"Goff put the team on his back and carried them across the goal line "

Goff is cool as a cucumber and led the team to the playoffs

That was some great playcalling down the stretch by McVay and OConnell"

Instead we are stuck with the oh so common drivel that always follows a loss

Oh well

I think the order in which you listed them is also correct.

Center, should have been a priority this past offseason and it should be again this offseason. We seriously need to shore up that interior on our line. Otherwise, we will be in for our 3rd year of short passes and short runs.

I agree with this. Blythe got abused yesterday. Also, we miss Cook's ability to threaten to take the lid off the defense and push those safetys back a bit.

Many projected Corbett as a Center coming out. I think he could be the guy. Then, the question is who replaces him at RG. We could flip David Edwards, start one of Anchrum, Brewer, or Evans at LG, and draft a depth OL late. That might solve a lot of problems. But I don't know how they feel about any of the three guys who could replace Edwards.

It would be great for Kroenke or Sneed to come to the podium and say they are disappointed with the coaching effort. Maybe that’ll get someone’s attention?

Its a wierd combination of

1.Coaching not having the team ready.
2. Players not executing
3. Team Captains innefective, no one seems to hold anyone responsible.

No one thing is the root cause. Its just something lacking with a McVay led team and I cant pin point it.

Rams are 3-5 vs the AFC in the last two seasons. 15-7 vs the NFC.

Doesn't necessarily mean anything, just throwing it out there.

Played the Jets without Greg Williams and didn't throw a deep ball until the last drive of the game ... WTF is going on with this Goff and Mcvay situation??The team looked dull from the first snap.

I have no idea who to blame, everyone sucked. This year has been worse than watching those horrible Rams teams of past, at least then they were consistent .

That said , they will best the Seahawks.

Go rams! Goff your time is ticking, this organization will choose Mcvay over you.

I've already moved on. It is the NFL. Massive upsets happen. Any team can win on any given Sunday. I still think this team has the pieces to get hot at the right time and win a super bowl. The absolute best teams in the league wouldn't have lost the to Jets, but the Rams realistically aren't among those teams. We're in the secondary group of contenders - a Super Bowl run is feasible but needs things to break right and the Vegas odds will certainly not be in our favor. We matchup very well with other NFC contenders, like Seattle and New Orleans, which bodes well.

I’ve created a world that allows me to accept this loss. After the Pats beatdown, Bellicheat made an agreement with McVay to give him all his playoff cheats codes in exchange for the Rams laying down against the Jets. Thereby screwing the Jets out of the #1 TL spot. Bill hates the Jets and doesn’t want them getting the best QB in years. That’s my acceptance/reasoning. Now onto Seattle for some seachicken BBQ
