Came out flat and got whooped. I haven't been impressed with Goff in a while now. I stopped expecting big games and merely hope for them from him now. He's just so bad when the play breaks down that he's easy to defend if you have the right pieces on D. He seems like a weakness on the team right now. The O line can't dominate every week and run for 200 yards making Play Action easy to use.
I keep waiting for the big contract QB to put the team on his back and it doesn't happen. The Bucs game was the closest he got, IMO.
Just not getting enough production at QB for the price. I like Goff, but his play is sub par, imo.

in the nfl any team could beat anyone... we all know that, but it doesn't change how bad this one feels.
Hell yeah, this is as bad a loss as I can remember. I wont agree that any Jet player or coach wants to lose games, they are playing as hard as they can, jobs on line, more importantly, pride

WHAT IN THE SHIT! We took the kids up to the cabin this weekend to celebrate Christmas early in the mountains (no service up there), was willing to miss this game but thought I'd come home to news of a win. Now I'm glad I did miss it, somehow I knew though, this what we do this year lose to absolute crap teams that we should beat easily

Oh boy, internet tough guy...
Have an adult read it to you, because all you see is "Goff Sucks Goff Sucks Goff Sucks Goff Sucks Goff Sucks Goff Sucks Goff Sucks Goff Sucks "
Clown

No I just have reading comprehension and understand what "But we got the coverage and looks we were looking for there" means. It means we called the correct play versus the defense we were expecting. The QB is who makes the decision on which WR gets the ball FYI.

But keep blaming McVay if it makes you feel better.

The throw to Everett was the correct read. He just didn't make the play and maye did.
It was literally the same play as the KC game, without the obvious result.
Why they continue to believe in him I'll never know

Team loss it sucks but it is what it is. Webster and Gay were bright spots though. Also Akers looked good again.

I’m sure there were multiple reads. Goff just didn’t go through his progressions. Just pretty much chucked it up there twice. Don’t get it. You have Higbee, Woods and Kupp and needing 4 yards you throw a deep pass to a rookie and then another to a guy who drops the ball 1/3 of the time.

I like Goff but I think my love of the Rams clouds my judgement of him. He is a good QB but his football IQ is alarming at times and considering how long he’s been in the league I don’t know if that will change.

With all that being said we should have ran the ball twice. This team is just mystifying.

No, clearly it is all Goff. Yup, Goff, Goff, Goff
Got it.

Couldnt keep the Jets from making a 1st down with a fresh D. Touchdown and 1st down called back on penalties. Everett half asses the catch on the play
But yeah, Goff, Goff, Goff
Seriously, who is your team? 49ers or Seahawks?

Whenever we lose, it's all on Goff. A couple of our losses were on Goff this year, but today was on the coaches. The team came out flat with poor gameplans. And my god, the OL was atrocious until Quinnen Williams got hurt. Goff was getting constant interior pressure in his face. It was completely disrupting our offense.

Because Andy Reid has the best QB in the NFL. What decent coach wouldn't put the ball in Mahomes's hands? Goff isn't Mahomes. Mahomes may well go down as the best QB to play the game.

I know that...that why I added that other coaches do it as well with there qbs upper tier and even some who have no business doing so but trust there qb. Seems to lack here on the rams. Surely almost everyone has voiced this at one point or another.

Y'all need to stop.

In a year with a reduced cap, there is NO WAY the Rams can eat the dead money for Goff.

So even IF the Rams wanted to move on, they couldn't. He's on the team and likely the starting QB no matter what.

I think that's a good thing.

but even if you don't, he's gonna be our starter until at least 2022. Hopefully by then, he's doing well enough that no one wants to look at alternatives.

Goff got exactly the matchup on 4th and 4 that McVay wanted. That was the design of the play. It was the same play that beat the Chiefs. Criticize McVay for choosing that play there. It wasn't Goff who made that call.

Tony Romo just said it best on the chiefs game..."Andy Reid always puts the game in the hands of his qb" now we all know most coaches do when they have an elite talent. So we need to ask ourselves some simple questions...

Why doesn't McVey do that?
Why does it seem he needs to scheme around Goffs shortcomings while other coaches play to their elite qbs skills? And Reid throwing sure game management with game on the line etc. I know Maholmes in his own class but it's not just him.

Is the problem Goff or McVey? Or worse both? I know my answer.

Im a rams fan for over 30 years. I love most sports down to freaking tennis lol but this team is the one that dominates my heart and always has my attention. I want to back Goff and I'm saying let's give him next year but I say again if I take off my rams shades I see the truth might be staring at me in the face.

I dont know how its taken you this long to question Goff tbh.

And today wasnt even his worst shit job, his performance didnt break the Rams as it did against the 9ers and Miami. It was just another notch in his column of inconsistency though. Like its never a case of the rest of the team playing bad and Jared not, hes ALWAYS a constant denominator in our losses.

This is a QB-driven league. Your QB is almost always going to be the biggest part of your losses and the biggest part of your wins. Goff was the biggest part of all but one of our losses (Buffalo) and the biggest part of all but one or two of our wins (NE and arguably NYG).

I guess you missed Goff's postgame where he said he should've gone through the entire progression on 3rd down instead of throw to Akers.

You blaming that on McVay too?? Wake up man.
