Well the way he explained it the rams would have more room to operate in to get those 10 yards instead of the 5 yards in two downs.

He's definitely head coach material. Why hasn't any team signed him up yet?

This is what an offense looks like when the O-Line is dominant.

Everyone else looks unstoppable. MASSIVE HOLES to run through.

Jackson isn't going to last in this league running 15 times a game. It's the History of the NFL. Running QB's are flash in the pan. Watch what happens when his O-line becomes average.

As for the Rams, can't compete when you have Zero run game and the worst O-line in the NFL.
I completely agree about Jackson.

When he threw, he had over 4 seconds each time to find a wide open receiver. His offensive line is awesome.

With that amount of time,I could have thrown those TD passes when I was 30 years younger.

And yes - he is going to get hurt.

Did you see the takedown by Brockers in the first quarter, I can easily see one bad hit that will mess up his knees and then he won't be the same.

He is a running back who can throw a decent (not great) pass.

If the Rams would have kept him in the pocket, he would not have done nearly as well.

I have to agree that Wades plan was useless tonight. We didn't stop them once.

The Refs totally screwed us.

This is the only bright spot. When it was 0-0 first drive they didn’t call an obvious Ravens DPI on 3rd down that could have been a big momentum shifter. It was about to begin. But since we brought out the JV team tonight, I didn’t have to scream at refs because they didn’t need to give Ravens a nudge.

Although they did blow a whistle on a clear fumble when everyone says they are taught NOT to, then the bogus call was upheld anyway. Bad habits are hard to break I guess...

I need to be spoon-fed an explanation as to how Mcvay and Snead thought Goff was good enough for that contract. We heard all the rumors about Goff just being an extension of Mcvay/the system etc. How were they so close to him week after week and oblivious to it?

The thought process was risky, but getting ahead of the Prescott contract was a theoretically good strategy. Only counter-argument is surrounding his play the past 7 games of 2018. When we're not getting a schematic advantage, IE when McVay isnt schemeing people wide open, Goff struggles. Most of his success the past 2 years comes from playaction, when defenses are expecting the run and get "caught off guard." But in known passing situations when they are rushing the passer and Goff has to make a quick read/decision + accurate throw hes a pedestrian level QB.

If his play got better as the year progressed last year, no one would've second guessed the contract, but it faded down the stretch and has been even worse this year. But he's played in 4 playoff games now and played good in 1, shitty in 3. Atl, Dal,NE all horrible games. He played well in the NFC championship in NO however.

We took an aggressive shot and its backfiring IMO. This dude cannot carry a team and should not be the top paid QB in the NFL. We can win with him if we surround him with better pieces. But guess what!? He had a better team last year and still choked EDIT in the SB. Still cant get over how bad he's looked after the worst game of his life(SB). Instead of responding with a comeback year for the ages he's crumbled and faded into the abyss of indifference.

Wade, for awhile, just first mention for me. For awhile, how can other teams guess right 75% of the time. Easy win for Ravens. Embarrassing loss for Rams,

Wow, non competitive. One of the few times, I was really embarrassed to be a fan. Let me be clear, way too much talent to be playing like this. I’m not bandwagon Fan.

So you are going to judge him as a bust for all time based on his last three games? No other QB ever had a bad three game stretch?

He's having a bad year, no doubt. So is our offensive line. So is our head coach, who really needs to revamp his scheme and review his playcalling in the offseason. Goff isn't without responsibility, but he's not solely responsible. Fix the other things and I bet he'll rebound just fine.

Everett ... Warner ... man, you guys just don't learn from history.

No, I’m saying he’s looking like a #1 pick that wasn’t worth his draft status and we just spent $134 million extension that hasn’t even started yet. That’s what I’m saying. Most people call that a bust.

A QB worthy of said extension performs regardless under said fire. Bad games happen, but bad seasons?

You might as well be advocating Matthew Statsford as being the most elite QB because of his stats. He doesn’t have it in crunch time and just because Jared has done it a few games doesn’t mean he is the answer.

Without pressure he isnt accurate and misses clutch throws. Then he’ll throw and insignificant dime and everybody’s all “ see he can make the throws”.

Fact: Goff is absolute horrible statistically while under pressure.
Change my mind.

I am worried because we will need to figure out how to improve this team legitimately but with no cap space. We are forced to sign Ramsey now and he calls the shots with that. Gurley and the game plan/coaching I'm just not sure what's going on there. As far as Goff listen he more than likely isn't Peyton but you can tell he is off on a lot of throws this year because of the o-line. He over throws under throws gets rid of it to quick sometimes his timing is shot happy feet to me that's all indicative of a poor o-line. He will need a reset a recharge and of course an o-line.

I also don't think it's a bad idea to sit him no matter the money he seems to need a lot of help in adjusting plays and reading defenses. Perhaps sitting can help him see the game from different eyes while being properly coached. Goff is in need again of a qb whisperer. Mcvey may just be reeling to much on his plate and you can see that twinkle sparkly tooth and the glimmer in his eye has faded. He looks aged tired angry never smiles and looks like his gym time has been cut off. He just almost looks beaten worn out. Could his bright star have burnt out already? Did the LA lifestyle corrupt the young coach? Just don't know.

Lastly tinkering with this line need to add nasty into it alla timmerman but this team is not strong enough to lose key players like
Littleton
Fowler
GZ
Etc.

can't fill holes that currently exist and also keep key players at key positions let alone add players of great need with no cap money.

Cannot lie I'm curious to see how this all shakes out but I'm nervous as hell and actually scared. Hate to see us go backwards any more than we have.

Yes. QBs have bad seasons. Even really good ones. Especially when the team around them has a bad season.

If everything around him gets fixed in the offseason and he's still playing like this next year, I'll change my tune. But not until then.

Tell me what YOU would do different, since you are the one so eager to replace him.

We can’t do much with a lot of our draft ammo and salary gone now. Honestly we are kinda fucked. Wonder if we can jip the Fins or Broncos to take him. This is really tough to even say because I like him and have his jersey. But it’s the truth or damned near it.

Ok, get the Broncos or Fins to take him. Then what? Who replaces him?

Bad season?

2016: HORRIBLE
2017: VERY GOOD
2018: GREAT for 2/3, HORRIBLE for 1/3
2019: HORRIBLE

One season? Maybe you need to take a 30,000 foot view my dude. Goff has been a lot more bad than good. And his bad has been bottom of the league bad fyi.

-2 1/3 years of purely horrendous play
-1 2/3 years of very good play (best RB in the league during this span, OL with same five starters for 2years, McVay bringing whole new offensive innovation to NFL)

Read the 2 sentences before Broncos or Fins. We best be trying something or finding a Wussel in the third or something.

Horrible for 1/3 of 2018? Yes, our offense did slow down in the latter part of the year (not coincidentally when Gurley's knee started giving him trouble). The Rams went 4-2 in their last six regular season games, and scored over 30 points four different times. That's what you call horrible? Then they won two playoff games, including an NFC Championship game in a hostile environment, with Goff making two very clutch throws in OT with defenders right in his face to get us into position for GZ's game winning FG. At the end of regulation he drove the Rams down again to tie the game.

By what standard is that horrible?

He’s a game manager. Nothing more. He was schemed and coached up. Why this org after last year’s Super Bowl extended him is baffling. But they’ve don’t nothing that has made sense for 12 months. Ramsey deal floored me.
