I dunno about that. I can remember two just off the top of my head. Niners opening night a few years ago and the falcons game that got him fired. There was also a Patriots game and a saints game that got ugly.

Plus, there were many more we had no business losing, but did. I remember his soft coverage bullshit one year letting Mark Sanchez - Mark Fucking Sanchez - carve up our D, simply because Fisher didn't want to bring his DB's closer to the LOS.

You have to answer for the Bucs, Stealers and Cowboys, Sean.

these three games were total cluster fucks from a coaching standpoint. something was definitely wrong in each game against inferior opposition. you can understand losing to a better team or getting blown out by them, it's not your day, one of those days, etc. but to lose to inferior talent has to be on the coaching staff.

bucs - the d didn't want to tackle or cover.
stealers - the offense couldn't get out of it's own way and to not give the ball to gurley in the 4th? c'mon.
cowboys - both offense and defense were horrible. awful. not ready to play.

We need to get tougher. This team is soft as Charmin. No fire.... everyone just cool and calm on the sidelines from the coaches on down.

Yup those are games we win last year. Add in the missed FG vs the SeaHags and we would be sitting pretty. But the inconsistency and up and down play, getting blown out. NO heart

This is on McVay. He should not have given the team Monday off. They didnt take Dallas serious and got smacked. Horrendous game planning and preparation.

Because of how bad the running game was and how bad Goff looked in the beginning.... the crap the bed job the defense did is getting overlooked somewhat.

So, let me get this straight, we can run against the Bears, but not the Cowboys...something isn’t right about such futility with an all pro running back. Either Todd can run or he can’t. Don’t play him at all, or run him 18-25 times. Dallas has a poor run defense...no? Why did we come out passing?? I guess the OL can only block better defenses like Chicago’s and can’t against the poorer defenses.

Book on the Rams all season: hit them in the mouth in the trenches. It began last year vs the Bears but McVay reversed the trend with CJ Anderson's addition. Patriots brought it back and it's gonna be the book until he finds a way to beat it.

Biggest losses have one thing in common... Physical OL that dominated our defensive front.

Same deal on the offensive side too, although the Rams have made strides rebuilding the OL on the fly. So it's not like they haven't done anything about it but rather that these are things that are very hard to fix during the season.

McVay is still brilliant. He'll identify the issues and make sure they're addressed, the dude is a young HC learning on the job. These are roster problems IMO and maybe a little bit of him going too far to rest guys when they probably need a kick in the pants. But again to have this record with all the BS that has gone on this year with the injuries and roster issues... Give the dude a break IMO.

Team needs to get more physical. They are too finesse on both sides of the ball.

The DL only seems interested in rushing the QB and the LB's are unable to strep up and stop the run.

The offense just is unable to run the ball consistently against physical fronts.

Draft size for the DL, add a FB, and add size size at C to bolster the run game.

At a Minimum we have to get a new powerful center. I would would Havenstein back to RT and Evans inside at LG, for all you Hav Haters, just remember we went to a SuperBowl with him as a RT starter. He is an excellent run blocker. Corbett in my book is depth. Evans might be as well but for now I move him to LG depth unless we don't find a better LG.

We struggle with big OLs and DLs.

There is coming a return to smash mouth lines and it works because so many have focused on the opposite.

It’s cyclical. The question is do we adjust or become a team that simply can’t beat certain teams.

Next week is gonna be ugly because we affirmed that we can’t handle this type of team this year.

As a pattern guy, I’m lost.

The only consistent thing thus far is what I wrote above.

Do they try to revamp the lines? Do they look at how those big lines were beaten last cycle?

I dunno, but I may tape the game on Sat night. I’m just not in the best place to watch another game like the Ravens or Cowboys game...

All this talk about the pass to run ratio being off is retarted.

When Gurley is getting stuffed on play after play then you have to go to the pass.

Same problem all year. We cannot run block with these scrubs. And getting Noteboom and Allen back aint gonna fix that.

I agree we need more WR screens but anything requiring these Olineman to move bodies puts us in 3rd and long way too often.

Rams only had 11 rushes for the whole game. All Gurley. There's no excuse for that. McVay is a nut case!

As it stands:

An O-Line that lacks talent, and the best player is 50.

A moody RB who seems disinterested, and lacks burst.

An inaccurate and jittery QB, with a tendency to turn it over.

An overpaid, inconsistent and inefficient D-Line.

An ageing Raven at Safety

A walking health concern at WR, who cost us a 1st round pick.

$1 trillion dollars of cap space allocated to Goff, Gurley, and Cooks.

And a frustrated head coach, scrambling to call games around the weaknesses we have.

The most frustrating thing for me is not that they lost, but how BAD they lost. Who or what exactly is this team?

The Baltimore game and Dallas games made it look like this team not only did not belong on the same field as those teams-- they did not belong in the same league.

Mcvay has done a horrible coaching job this year. He seems lost.

I hope he figures it out but right now he looks like a man without answers. It will be interesting to see how they respond next year.

It seems when we start slow on offense, we don’t snap out of it... slow or unable to adjust.

Defensively; it’s a different team every week.

This Rams team is a collection of good players, not playing great collectively.

2 weeks, maybe we catch lightening in a bottle... but it’s come to that.

IMO, some major changes to the coaching staff coming and that is what I will be interested in and of course Snead adding more draft choices by moving around the board.

That pathetic effort was more on the players than the coaching staff.

I lost count of the whiffing and lame arm tackling on D. The plays were called perfectly there many times... but the players failed at the point of attack. We had 3 or more gifted INT's that were just thrown out too.

Gurley's head was CLEARLY not in the game whatsoever. He did not want to compete in the slightest. He should be embarrassed.

Our O-line appeared to be ready for the offseason to get here. Hard to believe that they were the same players that played against the shecocks last week.

Goff couldn't hit the broadside of a barn... and when he did... half the time the receiver was so shocked that they dropped the ball.

With very few exceptions... the players looked like they have mailed it in. They're ready for the holidays and an early offseason.
