I feel like I got kicked in the gut tonight, aint gonna lie...Haven't felt this bad about a Rams loss in quite a while.
I felt worse about the win last week.

Gurley is going to RIP a new asshole into the ducking chickens next week.

I'm actually relieved that our Rams players know what a loss feels like

That 3 and out was a back breaker.

Like I tell my team at work: we learn far more in failure than we do in victory.

Well, I am not going to vent, throw any Rams players under the bus, complain about the coaching.....we're an 8 and 1 team....disappointed in today's loss, but we proved, on the road that we are a definite Super Bowl contender. We'll be back, and just may play the Saints in the Conference final----we'll beat them when it matters most. Coming back from 21 points to tie the game showed a lot of character....didn't quit in the face of adversity.....McVay will get it right next time.

Agreed. Hate to pick on Goff because he played a great game but 2 abysmal series to finish up. Tie game and he missed Woods horribly on the opening play of the drive. Then that decision to air mail one up to Cooks on 3rd and 2 had me scratching my head. He’s still learning though but he needs to start making those crunch time plays if he wants to achieve Manning/Brady heights.

Honestly the only crap call that bothered me was the blatant bad spot on the Hekker fake FG run. I mean....it was challenged, reviewed and still blown. Garbage.
Agreed. That was the only call that really burned me. I was fucking celebrating watching the review.
The rest of the game, I though vinadouche did ok.

Normally I would agree. But go ask the Saints how confident they are in their defence after today. KC has been poor defensively all year. We have to hope we stay healthy and Talib comes back with no ill effects. That might be enough to let us scrape by. Most of the top teams this year are far from stout defensively.

Did you see their defense make plays when they needed to? The PD on the last 4th down? The great INT by the LBr? Good teams even with less than ideal defenses, still FIND A WAY TO MAKE A PLAY. We can't make a play when we need to, that's the bottom line. The Saints are far better than us in the secondary, and their defense is better overall I dont know what you're talking about.

Peters has been trash
Joyner took the year off
JJ has been inconsistent at best
Troy Hill/Sam Shields.......uh yea
Our LBers? How many tackles did we miss today? Ebukam? at least 3 or 4 by him
No pass rush hardly at all.

I try to be optimistic but after 8 weeks there has been no quantifiable evidence that this is a good defense. And if AD isn't taking the game over we wont win a championship with this back-end.

The problem I have with this, is that he make a ton of absolutely ridiculous throws that keep drives alive. Bluth throws. Tough throws.
Nobody is talking about the missed wife open plays that Brees made late in the game.

Goff had a good game... last two possession not so much.

I love Jared but the next step for him is to be Ice late in the 4 quarter. I could be wrong.. but I sense fear in him in those situations.

Looked like McVay was also a little confused by some of his decisions.

I’m not making excuses for the D because they have been playing like crap but we have played against Rivers, Wilson, Cousins, Rodgers and Brees and are still 8-1. That’s 4 HOF QBs and an All-Pro.

I knew Aikman would find a way to trash Goff. He did right there at the end even though Goff had a great game.

There were a lot of things that upset me, but yeah, that's the most blatant one. It was clear as day. I knew when they spotted it that they were going to pull the "it stands" bullcrap. That crew has always had it out for us.
I agree Jrry, they seem like they have had it in for us.
However. Our D got lit up the 1st half.
Play them again and the entire game looks more like the 2nd half.

We just played the toughest team(other than us) in the NFC.

We are still going to make the playoffs. Hopefully with a healthy team.

It's so beyond old. It's like he gets his pregame reports from Joe buck. He sounds like hes phoning it in.

The Good
- Good comeback and perseverance after that rough first half, we made it a game.
- Fowler looks like he might be worth keeping!
- Goff was on point almost all day. The pass to Higbee was a beauty. The WRs played well. OLine was improved from last week.
- Gurley is still the heart and sole of the team
- AD is still awesome

The Bad and the Ugly
- The Saints are a classless bunch.
- The refs get a big “F”...terrible.
- Tackling
- Peters and Joyner (for 2019, keep Fowler...which solves the EDGE problem...invest heavily in the secondary!)
- Wade Phillips. He has stuff to fix scheme-wise.

That’s a tough road game for us on the heels of a tough stretch. Tough environment. And we were still a couple of shit calls and a play or two from flipping that score in our favor.

I agree with those that aren’t looking forward to the media fallout. Ugh!

Wasn't that Joe Horn that did that? I'm guessing it's just a throwback. I hate Joe Horn, too.
