The whole routine by the '72 Dolphins is getting kind of pathetic.

I could see doing it at the end of the year but doing it every year once a team is not undefeated?
Lame.
But. that's the whole point of the celebration. Why wait til the end of the season? It's not like they hold a blow out party at some venue. Or, celebrate like the Vikings and Eagles after any score. They just pop a little champagne to celebrate they're achievement together. What's the big deal?

Rams Baby!!! They let one get away. Neither QB was sacked so don't blame the DLine...give the Saints some credit there.

Here ended the lesson 45-35...LEARN AND PRESS ON!!!

Now..I'm gonna go watch a few Wagon Train reruns. I really like the old Westerns. Use to watch Wagon Train with my dad as a kid...(y)
My brother watches Gunsmoke reruns. For his birthday I got him an old photo of Matthew, Festus, Doc and Kitty.

Going to say it.

I hate this defense. Mcvay has done wonders on offense. No issues though they can still be better. This defense hasn’t been as advertised under Phillips. Not sure why.
I'll probably get flogged for this but i like GW's Rams defense better. Wade is doing a nice job here, it isn't easy flipping a 4-3 to a 3-4 and trying to make it work while jumbling personnel in one year, and Wade is one of the best DC's ever to coach....but i mean if we could pair that 2015 Rams D with what McVay's offense is doing.....lights out domination. Sacks, turnovers, intimidation, physicality....this D hasn't shown enough of that at all as a group.

I don't hate this defense but there are clearly some scheme issues as well as just having key guys out with injury.

I agree. If I could flip this D with a typical GW D during the Fisher years I would do it.

Better late to vent then never vent at all. How could you not need to vent after that poor defensive performance.

The defense as been living on the edge and today fell off it in the first half. Poor tackling and little pass rush are not going to stop very good offenses. Even when they were in good position to make a stop the Saints got extra yards which really hurt trying to get a three and out. Was it a perfect storm or a downward trend?

Downward trend.

Can they stop it and regroup?

Slow it down maybe. It was a rough stretch of games that gets worse in the next two weeks. Playing 4 out of 5 games on the road even short road trips has to take some toll. Talib can't come back soon enough. Fowler showed signs of helping. The bye can't come soon enough. Even with a little rest, Fowler and Talib in the mix this Rams defense has problems.

I dunno... my guess is he'd (Williams) blitz to try and get to Brees and it would have had the same result.

In yesterday's game? 3-4, 4-3... not sure it could have mattered.

Payton made sure the ball came out ASAP. It was (and would have been under Williams) about blanketing the WRs. They weren't able to do that yesterday.

Maybe Williams would have addressed the Rams inability to handle Thomas sooner? Who knows. What we do know is that Phillips didn't handle it well.

peters made alot of bad plays, but why was he alone with Thomas on 90% of those conpeltions. He obviously needed help as most corners do with Thomas. (Dude is a beast )

Defenisve line just needs to play better, suh was invisible for most of the day and AD missed a few easy sacks because he tried to make a bigger play.

Is it possible that these guys are blatantly disobeying Wade? I hope not because that's our worst nightmare. What would mcvay do with a defense and how can he help ?

I know talib coming back will help settle everyone down but our talent is not showing up.

That said , offense rules and we are
8-1 !

I couldn't disagree more. Any game the rams put up points turned into a shootout because his d couldn't keep up.

That defense was tough, but it seemed out of control at times. I remember a lot of personal fouls which certainly didn't help us win games...

Up until week 9 Wades defense was statistically better. But, and it’s a big but, hasn’t generated as many sacks. When you play the best QBs you have to get there if you want to kill drives.

MOD EDIT: 48hr rule. On to the Seahawks.
