Philly just reviewed Kupp's touchdown and it was determined he didnt have 2 feet down, so the final score was changed to 37-14

Yeah...

Next time the eagles are kicking an PAT and the D jumps offsides. They will tell the refs they are accepting the penalty and will now go for 2 instead.

If they get stopped on the 2 point conversation... they will then tell the zebras that they actually changed their mind and now want to just decline that penalty after all and try to kick the extra 1 point chance.

I worried about the defense going into the game...and it turns out the offense wasn't up to par...:explode1:

The defense was basically a "bend don't break" approach and it worked for the most part. The big question in my mind was the play calling. Philly was blitzing BIG TIME and offensively nothing was done to adjust to that...NOTHING!!!

According to both McVay and Stafford post-game press conferences, the Eagles mostly just rushed four.

Yes, fix the secondary and add a good size/speed mix at WR.
Still need to block or those dynamic WRs will just be running wind sprints.

I do agree, and I mentioned this after the Miami game, that we need more speed on offense. We just don't scare anyone, but we do need to protect Stafford so he can make use of those weapons.

So....

Young stud LT, re-sign Jackson and move him to RT. Havenstein sticks around for a year to groom these guys.

Draft a stud CB, sign a quality FA CB, Williams battles for the #2 or #3... Durant is #4.

Go get a stud 330 lb DT in FA, then draft another. Rotate Turner & Fiske on run downs, they both play on pass downs.

Add speed and size at MLB... a fast MLB makes your defense fast. Speights & Rosboom are your back ups.

Draft a size speed WR and or a big play TE. Need more weapons. Kupp is on his last legs and Puka gets hurt too much and can't do it all by himself.

The mini RBs are cute, but the run game is back in vogue, so go get a dynamic RB with size and Williams & Corum are your change of pace guys.

Sounds good but how are they going to add all that with 3 picks in the top-175; and only two in the top-85?

As I said in my post, I don't completely blame the CBs for giving up the 3rd and longs.

One was a screen pass to Barkley that Slowboom completely missed the tackle - face in dirt

One was a scramble by Hurtz who again outran Slowboom to the first down marker.

I do like Speights but he is going to make rookie mistakes from time to time but once he has a RB in his grips - that RB is stopped dead in the water.

3rd & 5 at LAR 25

(1:53 - 2nd) (Shotgun) J.Hurts scrambles left end pushed ob at LA 20 for 5 yards (C.Slowboom).

3rd & 10 at LAR 44

(7:05 - 3rd) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass short right to S.Barkley pushed ob at LA 13 for 31 yards (K.Curl; J.McCollough).

This one Hurts ran by Slowboom

3rd & 10 at LAR 44

(7:37 - 3rd) (Shotgun) J.Hurts scrambles left tackle pushed ob at LA 26 for 18 yards (Q.Lake).Penalty on LA-C.Durant, Illegal Contact, offsetting, enforced at LA 44 - No Play.Penalty on PHI-J.Mailata, Offensive Holding, offsetting.

Another run by Slowboom but offsetting penalties wiped out this play

3rd & 10 at LAR 44

(7:05 - 3rd) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass short right to S.Barkley pushed ob at LA 13 for 31 yards (K.Curl; J.McCollough).

Slowboom falls flat on his face again missing the tackle.
lol-Rozeboom was NOT the problem last night

I get it's a vent thread but the projection and straight making shit up is just comical.

We got our asses handed to us in the trenches. Never ever want to hear again an OL is good enough. If we can upgrade one we need to upgrade it.
Who do we keep and who do we upgrade from our current group? Any thoughts on that?

Sirianni is a petulant child and I'm going quite enjoy watching the Lions knock them out of the playoffs this year. Like the 49ers I hope this bunch always comes up short.

I was just stating Rozeboom was the problem on 3rd down and long. He should not have been in there.

That's 5 instances of 3rd down and 5 and longer that we did not stop the other team from getting a first down.

A little bit of a different story if we could have stopped them.

But then again - maybe the Eagles still get the first down without Rozeboom in there.

But I am pointing out he played really terrible on those 3rd downs.

Just got out played physically in the trenches on both sides of the ball. While McClendon was a big problem he wasn't the only problem... the whole oline got manhandled throughout the night at times. Alaric Jackson had one of his worst games in his career I thought. Got beat for pressure a lot and we kept running Kyren off him and he got blown up a lot for losses. Was just a sad affair all around. The defense is a work in progress but we definitely don't have the players to go up against a physical, large oline with a hard to grab RB/QB.

Oh well, I had hope we'd show up better than that and I am beyond pissed. But it's tempered my expectations finally.

Yeah sounds good. This is a two year order...at least.

3) Kyren is a solid scheme fit, but he's not a RB1 I'd want to pay. Haven't for awhile.. he gets TDs but should, with the plays open for him. But above all, the two things he lacks is MAJOR ball security, and explosion. He's not a threat. I, frankly would target Kaleb Johnson from iowa.. the way he runs 100% reminds me of Gurley. A true #1 with explosion, physicality and size.
Rams have a problem, and they have for a while now under McVay, in taking too long to make roster depth chart moves. When it comes to WR or QB McVay is a total hardass. But with some other positions he puts on the kid gloves, and those are the positions that have given him the most heartache. Those being OL and RB.

Bottom line is Williams has a fucking fumbling problem. Teams know it. Defenses know it. They prepare for it now and it's going to exacerbate the issue. That fumble killed us on that first drive. It was a huge momentum swing in a game where we could not fucking afford any sort of momentum swing. They had no room for error vs that roster.

And they trot his ass right back out there. WTF. Where is the fucking leadership from that staff. What does that tell Corum he is worth. It was some hot bullshit.

Going forward they need to get Corum fucking ready. I keep saying this. Williams is not a bellcow. He also is going to get hurt. Not like it matters now, as this team is so damn flawed they're not gonna do shit in the playoffs even if they get in. But by now they should have a 50/50 competition going between these guys. And Williams should not be vastly in the lead when he's putting the fucking ball on the ground.

We need a draft something like this.

Reinforce the edges on the O-Line for years to come. Elite WR help, a TE threat. Blanket the CB room. 2 solid LB that can blitz, stop the run, and cover. Home run RB to change of pace to our Corum.

Yes I know, the college football season isn't even close to be done, but we need a talented draft something like this to compliment the last two years.
I would be very surprised if Simmons the OT from Ohio State dropped that far.

That is not correct.

We stopped them at least 3 times on 3rd down. (And I am not even counting the 3rd down stop before halftime).
I thought the poster was saying that the Rams went 0 for 8 on third down.
I didn't get a chance to see the game as i am currently vacationing in the philippines

My focus isn't about run versus pass. It's about having dynamic talent. The Lions have Williams and Gibbs - both players that defenses fear and have to gameplan for.

I think you've narrowed this down to having a passing game that's feared versus an overall offense that's feared. I'm not sure how great the Eagles passing offense is but with the addition of Saquon, they now have several game breaking players on offense.
I was responding to an exact quote that no one was scared of our passing game - so yeah was talking about passing.
