I disagree.I hope so. I really do. But I used to think he would stay because the roster would be in a really good situation and Stafford would’ve just aged out. And it would just be time for a new QB. And the train would keep on moving.
But almost the opposite has happened. He’s got an old QB still playing at a high level, but the roster currently isn’t there to support him. Some really nice pieces here and there, but not enough. If Snead comes to McVay and says “we’ve really gotta blow this up and go full rebuild to be competitive long term”, does McVay stick around? I don’t think he does.
I agree. But I think Henry was still very good. And the Titans offense was a mess. He just made them better. But he wasn’t as effective at least last year people were saying Dallas should have got him but he wouldn’t be producing like that there him and Lamar perfect together
As I said in my post, I don't completely blame the CBs for giving up the 3rd and longs.Looked like a 3 levels issue to me. Our 4 star defensive front players are light. Heaviest one is 295. Gonna get blown off the ball every time.
Linebackers stink. Nothing new to say.
Corners were bad. How many 3rd and long did we surrender?!?
Provided that he gets good protection up front, he can still rip up any defense.TBH there are not many passing games in the NFL that scare anyone this year. Ours is actually a little bit scarier than most.
That is not correct. That is horrendous and painful to even think about.
The only point I'll make is the 70's Rams. The Rams are just not a good team. They are exactly what their record says they are. We have traded jerseys with the Lions at this point. Was it worth it for that SB? It sure felt like it at the time, but as the years go on, and the Lions continue to ascend with our former QB and those picks we gave them to get rid of him..... It gets cloudier. At least for me.
Before anyone decides to puff out their chest and come after me..... It is a fucking VENT thread. Deal with it.
The 0-for-8 on third-down-conversions, refers to the Rams' Offense. That is not correct.
We stopped them at least 3 times on 3rd down. (And I am not even counting the 3rd down stop before halftime).
What a weird thing to say in a VENT thread. Did you expect people to be in here ecstatic after a blowout loss on a national stage?See you guys next Sunday. Way too much doom and gloom for my tastes, especially when it's got a bunch of pissing and moaning factored in. Maybe I'll hang out in reddit for some positivity.
Yeah, and I get that totally. I think I hate losing more than I love winning. Wish that wasn't the case, but I'm afraid it is, haha. But as my signature says, I'm still celebrating SB53, so I won't stay pissy for long. The only point I'll make is the 70's Rams.
Seven NFC West titles and one Super Bowl loss. I would have traded that limited success for one or two Super Bowl wins. The Lions have won nothing yet that matters and as good as they are now, all will be forgotten unless they win a Lombardi.
We have a Super Bowl from the trade, which makes all the difference to me.
I don't buy that they are not a good team and the record is what they are.The Rams are just not a good team. They are exactly what their record says they are. Well, it would help if the venting was logicalWhat a weird thing to say in a VENT thread. Did you expect people to be in here ecstatic after a blowout loss on a national stage?
I will never understand why some people will come into a clearly marked thread dedicated to letting off steam..... And complain about people doing exactly that.
If you have a problem with people venting, it's quite simple to avoid. Just. Don't. Open. The. Vent. Thread.
Eagles success comes in spite of, not b/c of Sirianni. Guy is a shit game-coach.I don't buy that they are not a good team and the record is what they are.
No, they could easily be a 7-4 team with good health, especially had they not been decimated on the OL & WR for the first 6 games.
Having said that, they obviously are not a SB contender and are a few notches below the Eagles & Lions, who both just might be a few notches above everyone else as well.
They have work to do. Need to improve at OT, need more size at DT to pair with Verse, Fiske, and Turner. Need higher level play at CB. Maybe even a more dynamic RB with Williams being more of a change of pace back.
The only point I'll make is the 70's Rams.

I guess this is the part I don't get. I thought the point of venting was to get stuff off your chest and then move on. I agree that people should not attack players or coaches, but it should be expected that scheme, personnel, etc are going to be criticized after a bad loss.Positive venting
Is it really as hard as Snead makes it look to get good CB play?View attachment 68469
We need a draft something like this.
Reinforce the edges on the O-Line for years to come. Elite WR help, a TE threat. Blanket the CB room. 2 solid LB that can blitz, stop the run, and cover. Home run RB to change of pace to our Corum.
Yes I know, the college football season isn't even close to be done, but we need a talented draft something like this to compliment the last two years.
