At this very moment Jacobs is the best RB in the NFL. Not sure if LV would trade him but if they did there would be 10+ teams lined up.All things considered Chubb & Jacobs > Burns & McCaffrey
It says he didn't practice due to illnessDarrell Henderson: Not seen at practice
Henderson isn't on the field for the open portion of Wednesday's practice, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.www.rotowire.com
Everyone hates one year rentals. But Von and Odell who were both one year rentals helped us win a ring.I hate one year rentals. Sammy Watkins, Sony Michel and von Miller. Two seconds, a 3rd 4th and 5th for three one year rentals. No thanks
I think your take is what would be the direct cause-affect resolution but most running backs that are likely available won't offer more than a healthy Henderson. Cooks is much more dynamic than anything we have at the moment VJ is the caveat. We'll probably add Cooks. Simply because that's the wrong move and that's how this season has gone so far, like karmic snapback or something.
And btw Cooks obviously would help us. But not as much as a RB would and unfortunately it appears McVay is not desperate enough yet to tell Snead to go get him another back. Hope it doesn't take a couple big losses with our offense continuing to shit the bed on early downs to convince him.
I am of course expecting a big win vs SF and McVay proving me wrong but I really want this fucking game. So tired of losing to these fucks
They drafted a guy with their 2nd round pick (top pick that year). They offered a ton of picks for CMC. Snead (b4) McVay selected an injured RB at #10. I’m not so sure your description of their mindset on RBs is that accurate.I agree with mcVay and snead not spending a lot of capital on RBs. Think about it this way if we had a good run blocking Oline we wouldn't even be discussing running backs.
Well you definitely have a higher opinion of Henderson than I do. I don't trust him to stay healthy.I think your take is what would be the direct cause-affect resolution but most running backs that are likely available won't offer more than a healthy Henderson. I certainly don't love the Cooks move, mostly because I wanted more splash. If cheap enough it could help us although we would likely want to trade him later to dump the future salary.
I love Jacobs but it is a seller's market and our bank account is low. It is a bad year to need RB's
A mid second round pick is not a premium pick in the NFL. Can you find good NFL players there? yes. Can to find superstars there. Sure. But you can also find them in the 6th round. I don't have a really high opinion of Henderson but don't want to trade away valuable picks for another team's #2 RB, which may or may not be better than what we have now. We don't have much to offer in picks, a couple 6's or a 7 is it next year unless we trade our 2 or 3. If we do that I want a player that absolutely improves us, and I think a back of that caliber like Jacobs will be pricey. For me, it is what we can offer and what's available vs what we give up in a season that may show how shallow our depth is in key position groups, even when healthyWell you definitely have a higher opinion of Henderson than I do. Also I think Van is as good as Cooks. Cooks is better at the intermediate routes and he's more experienced/savvy but I don't see a lot of improvement from Van to him.
We'll see what the Rams think. I have a bad feeling they're in on Cooks but hope not.

I wonder. He hasn’t been the primary back in several years.Well I can tell you Hunt would be a no1 RB on almost every team in the NFL sans about 8 football teams. While I agree trading away picks might have an effect but does it? You're getting an established player instead of a ???. So there's two sides to that coin.
As far as Jacobs is concerned. There's no way we could afford him and the raiders would be crazy to trade him. Also the raiders have a very good running Oline.
Kupp, Cooks, Robinson, and Jefferson? I kinda like it
Someone posted pics of him practicing so yeah.Anyone hear anything about Jefferson practicing?
Hunt is intriguing, He can catch and is said to be decent in pass-pro.Well I can tell you Hunt would be a no1 RB on almost every team in the NFL sans about 8 football teams. I get what you're putting down with Hunt. However if mcVay thinks he's worth the risk I do trust him. Look how it's worked out so far. I don't want to eat my words obviously because every player comes w risk. The one thing I would like to know is hunts current contract. If he had more than a year left I would say he's worth a 3rd.Hunt is intriguing, He can catch and is said to be decent in pass-pro.
I think the issue is it would cost more than our 6th or 7th and I am not sure he is worth our 3rd.
He also has the past off-field issue that could possibly rear its head like a Daryl Henderson ankle sprain
That's because he's behind chubb. And if your remember Cleveland took a flyer on him because of his off the field issues so no one wanted to touch him at that point. But all signs are he's past thatI wonder. He hasn’t been the primary back in several years.
He's also averaging his lowest yards per carry and yards per reception of his career. That's because he's behind chubb. And if your remember Cleveland took a flyer on him because of his off the field issues so no one wanted to touch him at that point. But all signs are he's past that
I wouldn't trade anything above a 6th rounder for a RB.I agree with mcVay and snead not spending a lot of capital on RBs. Think about it this way if we had a good run blocking Oline we wouldn't even be discussing running backs.
It say it all depends on what teams are asking for in a trade. If it's reasonable, he's a good get. Browns may get desperate as the deadline closes in and take less.I wouldn't trade anything above a 6th rounder for a RB.
The Rams have the underused Henderson and Williams coming back from injury, hopefully soon.
Can also raid someones practice squad if need be.
