Depends on if the person your trading for is a foundational piece. Like Jalen. If anyone on here had the time to go BK and check aal the picks the Rams gave up who was actually great and who was garbage. I'd guarantee 85-90% subpar to garbage.
I'm cool with drafting but I will always go with the proven commodity if he is foundational.

It also depends on timing for us that time is now Stafford Kupp Ramsey AD Will only decline.
Problem is you can't afford guys like that all the time.

Next yr the cap room will be even tighter and you still have to improve the OL. So trading away picks, adding more spending, and the OL cannot be addressed from the outside.

Would have to hope Bruss bounces back and proves himself and Anchrum steps up and also bounces back from injury.

Do you mean Montez Sweat? I actually liked Ram Rally's idea of Da'Ron Payne and then going after Jerry Hughes. Our pass rush would become way better if we went that route. Would have to cheap out on the RB area though. Not understanding the WR interest tho. Oh by the way, Josh Sweat is on the Eagles lol
Yes - I meant Montez. I was too quick with my sweat bros

It wouldn't be the end of the world if we hit on the high picks we still had. The Tutu selection was catastrophic and gets compound if we trade more picks away for Cooks. Terrell Lewis, Cam Akers, Taylor Rapp, Gerald Everett. I mean we've really whiffed on a lot of our 2nd and 3rd rounders where we could've found pro bowlers.

People's perspective changes when you hit on a lot of 4th-7th rounders and they end up being solid. But the talent level found in rounds 2 and 3 is different and we've drafted bad up there.

Just please don’t be Cooks. Thing is, considering the tutu pick and some other moves they have made for McVay toys while ignoring needs (OL, etc) - it’s crazy enough to be valid. Even the offer for CMC was crazy by us considering our true needs (this year and next).

I agree but the structure of the contract is key and the way they are done in certain ways to compensate when others come off the books etc. I agree with what your saying though can't have 15 super mega paid guys but to stay relevant you have next man up. So wether it's Burns who is 24 Sweat or Chubb you hope that torch is passed to them from AD keeping you somewhat relevant. In the next 2-3 years AD Ramsey who knows what happens. The cap will also significantly rise. If it wasn't working up until now and the jury still out for this season then yes you do it the old way. As we can see though this franchise's luck changed when we began operating this way and now look everyone is copying. I completely do understand though why some would be concerned. For me personally I at least want the chance to defend this chip properly next year let's see the approach for now though speaking for myself I want them to go down swinging.

Why not hit up the Colts for Stephon Gilmore? We'd have a reason to play more bump and run coverage! They are tanking now lol...... remember I can't blue font this shit for some reason

If the colts are tanking and want to unload players…
How about their guard nelson? They will want our 2nd no doubt, but it would be an upgrade over Evans and Edwards. Let Bruss and Anchrum did it out next year for the RG and move Jackson to LT.
BOOM! The OL issues would be solved.

I like the idea. But it is not financially doable. He just signed a big deal. It averages $20M the next 4 years. For a OG.
