They don’t have a lot of holes and traded surplus picks. They were prior to this slated to have 12 picks in the draft. Very muc( imo wort( the risk.

Perhaps, but at least we'd be guaranteed to get a year and a half out of him before he'd become a free agent. Chubb could be a true rental, as his deal expires at the end of this season.

Worth it for Allen. I’d even give them some extras to entice the trade acceptance - one or more of some young guys that could turn into something for them (Lewis, Akers, tutu, Hopkins, RR31)

I totally get the benefits of each.. just pointing out the cost.
I do not believe they would trade what will be required for either of them if they did not intend to keep. Remember.. the Von thing wasn't about annual value.. they were willing to pay.. but he was offered a 3rd guaranteed year.. and the Rams weren't willing to do that with a player his age.
I think either of those players will take at least a first to pry, by the way.

Chubb is on an expiring contract. And that offer is better than the third round comp that they'd get otherwise.

I get that.
I just don’t know what *their* price is. Like.. will they try to keep him if they can’t get a first? I have no idea.
We also don’t know what other teams might offer.
If Quinn got a 4th… I think Chubb is worth more than a 2nd.

You might be right. A first for an expiring contract is high though. I dunno if anyone would risk it. Quinn was coming off if 18.5 sacks last year so I suppose he has trade value

Of course we cannot afford him but yes. A thousand times yes. 25 years old. Good start as a rook with consistency throughout his three years in the NFL and ascending play.
That is a guy you have no problems paying if you can get the trade done. As opposed to, oh idk, say Chubb.

Look, I get Williams looked good in practice but he hasn't played one single down in a real game. Definitely a gamble if we don't add to our RB room given that he's already had 2 injuries and Hendo is always an injury waiting to happen. We have so many needs thanks to injuries and things not working out this year.
