I'm all for Chubb. I just don't want to see them lock him up long term. If they acquire him they should see him as a short term rental. Could be wrong on this but just see him as a guy who will put his feet up once they pay him.

Also I don't think we are in position to win any bid on an edge but still hope to be wrong.

I hate one year rentals. Sammy Watkins, Sony Michel and von Miller. Two seconds, a 3rd 4th and 5th for three one year rentals. No thanks

well Sony wouldn't have been if we had signed his ass to a vet minimum. Ridiculous we let him go.

Pony up for Josh Sweat.
Late pick for a vet RB to help while Williams eases into the starting role come playoff time.
Obj return.
Order repeat SB championship rings.

Do you mean Montez Sweat? I actually liked Ram Rally's idea of Da'Ron Payne and then going after Jerry Hughes. Our pass rush would become way better if we went that route. Would have to cheap out on the RB area though. Not understanding the WR interest tho. Oh by the way, Josh Sweat is on the Eagles lol

If were trading for Cooks and a sizable chunk of his salary, wouldn't we also be getting some picks ala the Goff/Stafford deal? just speculating...

You get Burns Chubb or Sweat you need to lock them up or that's when it's just wasted picks. Without Von we don't chip last year. However we also were convinced he would resign but never accounted for someone blowing us out of the water. Granted Von almost didn't know where he really wanted to be till the trucks were backed up and daddy told him go for the money. Can't blame him I will never know what that's like but how much money does one need or were you to bitchy to be in ADs shadow. So if we had Von now I suspect a lot of people wouldn't be bitching about the picks. We took someone a little to much at there word waited and then we're checkmated by buffalo. An error shit happens but I'm all for eff them picks but not light them on fire. I'd stick to the plan trade foundational and make sure you lock them up this time

Also I'm not buying the cooks thing it doesn't make sense. Although I feel maybe they think with Stafford it works but could it be to bluff Obj?

That I agree with...if you get a 24 yr old pass rusher you obviously have to lock him up.

The Rams need a RB for sure. How many of those listed would be big enough upgrades that can really make a difference? I see one in Jacobs and he’s not likely to be available.

Maybe the Tams can get permission to play with 2 balls on offense, because I don’t see how they give all of these offensive skill positions touches, much less snaps.
If ARob is finally clicking, then how many snaps would be left for OBJ if he was signed?

I recall that. Maybe that was why he was running the wrong routes. I remember McVay being pissed about his mistakes.

That could be the case. If they do lack faith in Van’s health then a deep treat makes sense. But supposedly a short receiver is not a good fit with Stafford. Plus that would be fewer snaps for someone.

I guess if they feel that they cannot meet OBJ’s asking price then maybe it makes more sense. It just seems like way too many resources devoted to one position group.

Kupp
ARob
Skowronek
Van
Tutu
Powell
Cooks

It would look like they have no faith in Atwell.
I see the logic. I just failed to see how they pull it off

Or they are convinced OBJ is moving on. Could be as simple as he or his reps have made it clear that he prefers to go somewhere to play on grass and not that Sofi turf.

In that instance a very late pick might be okay and you might get a comp pick the following yr.

His base this yr is a little over a million...but his base next yr is $18M. Nobody is paying that. So he is a cheap rental or you work out a cheap new deal next yr with him.

That thought crossed my mind, but the Rams have serious cap hits coming up. I can’t see us buying picks that way.

I hope we aren’t trading for cooks I’m sure he would help but i can’t forget that drop in the SB and how concussion prone he is(unfortunately).

My guesses are, we trade a 5th and 6th for Hunt. We trade a 6th for Hughes.
