A’Shawn Robinson is our best run defender… sorry, but he’s going nowhere… if anything, to extend AD’’s career, I can see moving him to the 5T/outside rusher… we’re not giving up on our best run stuffer

Maybe it's just me but I understand malhomes is an excellent QB and Kelce is still the best tight end on could debate but I'm still not buying them. While they do many things well I don't see them doing anything great.
They seem very beatable but maybe I'm severely underestimating them but they are a good team just seem ordinary but Patrick can make them extra ordinary on certain days but everything must go perfect and how often can that happen? Just not sold on them entirely.

One of Gaines or Robinson will likely be gone in free agency, so would losing Gaines be preferable for you ? It will be time for Bobby Brown to take the next step.
If you want Burns, there's going to be some pain on our side as well.

we have no ammo for Burns. They gonna get a new HC and they will want draft picks, not players so they can build how they want to try to win quickly. They’ll sign some FAs and then go into the season

I‘d love Burns, but we ain’t getting him… I’d also love to be wrong, but on this one, don’t think I am

Unless you’re Mack… and if you follow the post op instructions (I of course did not) it’s a few tender days and you’re good.

I got two great stories and weeks of pain from mine… cuz I r idiot…

I recently had some bladder stones obliterated by laser and my prostate shaved back while they were in there.

My doctor said I better rest for a couple of weeks when I get home. If the bleeding was to come back and get worse he said they would have to insert a catheter back into my penis.

Needless to say I followed instructions to a t. Didn't exert myself at all.

My thought here on DT Robinson is he will be looking for one serious pay raise. This upcoming contract will be his 3rd. He is a legit starter on a SB championship team with a well-known rep for run stuffer who can play in a 43 or 34 DL. He will get some very large offers in March.

Greg Gaines will not get the offers that Robinson will. But even so, the Rams will be working hard to have him return. Bobby Brown has hardly seen any action now well into his 2nd season. Not sure that he will see much behind the 3 starters & 2 relievers Copeland/Williams. Morris likes Brown @ the 3 tech post where AD has plays.

I would bet that Rams will see both Robinson & Gaines depart :crying:not because they don't want them but because they can not afford to pay them what they can get elsewhere.

Both of these below-projected market values are far below their real worth IMO.

Yeah- but Bobby Brown showed the HEART I was looking for in training camp & the preseason. His injury was what I liked because he learned to play through pain & pushed himself.

IMO - Bobby Brown is very underrated & is a ascending player with Huge Upside

Gaines hasn't shown yet that the the late-season performance last year was something he can sustain. So, I'm not sure what his market is right now.
Robinson is very solid.. but also not a full-time guy who is effective rushing the passer consistently. I think he's looking at SJD money or a little less.
They Rams will, imo, keep one of them.. unless Brown really blows up and they feel VERY confident in Copeland. Copeland is an ERFA, so they have a lot of control there.

I think those market evaluations are pretty much on-the-nose.

You may end up having to take the best of mediocre options. Just can't overpay, especially with money left on his deal.
I guess the question is whether he's healthy.. and if he is, why is his production so far off last year. If he's just fallen off a cliff... pass.. but I'm not a professional personnel guy, so I couldn't tell you.
Yeah idk, haven't watched any Bears games this year because why would I subject myself to that but he's definitely on the wrong side of his career. Plus, I don't really see him as a fit in this defense anyway. He's been a one trick pony his whole career (albeit extremely good at it), speed past the tackle and get freakishly low angle around the edge and either sack the QB or completely take himself out of the play. Doesn't really fit with what Morris likes to do and he isn't a stand up on the edge and play contain kind of player. More of a 4-3 traditional pass rusher.

So yeah anyway, would probably pass unless they end up cutting him and we can sign him for minimum like we did with OBJ last year for situational pass down stuff.

Seems like he's an intense DAWG that we need.

Quinn's #'s are all-over-the-place since leaving Los Angeles.

6.5 sacks in Miami in 2018, followed by 11.5 in Dallas; then in Chicago the past two seasons, 2 sacks in 2020 (an Edge-rusher should trip into two sacks per-season), followed by 18.5 sacks last year.

Tackles-for-Loss, QB-hits and Pressures are similarly all-over-place.

Granted, different schemes; and his snap count was down in 2020 but not by a significant number.

As far a $, Spotrac has Quinn with a $12.8M Base Salary. If Quinn is traded with 2/3 of the season remaining, I would think the acquiring team is on the-hook for 2/3 of the Base Salary ... $8+M.

I believe, the 2023 Dead-$ is tied to Bonus and Re-structure pay-outs already made by the Bears. So I'm not certain if an acquiring team would take a cap hit in 2023, if it moved-on from Quinn after this season.

If Gaines doesn’t heal up he’ll come cheap.

Do players drop off a cliff like that? His drop is precipitous. Maybe he knows the Bears are going nowhere and he got his last contract. If the Bears ate some of the money and he came to the Rams he may find the motivation to play well again.

But he is more of a pass rusher and less of an edge setter. He and AD are buddies though.

Morris uses plenty of 4 man fronts.. so, I think that part of it isn't a big deal.

The big deal is that he has, apparently, sucked this season. His PFF is 40 something and he has one sack. Why? I don't know.. and the Rams would have to have a good answer to why before they made any deal.
