Sadly, I'm not even sure that Akers is an upgrade over Mike Boone. Boone has been a much much efficient back in his career.Sounds good but what kind of OL would they get for Akers?
The Broncos lost their #1 RB (Williams); and the #2 RB (Gordon) has had fumble issues. Just don't know that Denver has an OL it would move that could start for the Rams.
There are not a lot of Austin Corbett / Cleveland situations out there. Prior to the season, I brought up Tevin Jenkins from Chicago. Like Corbett, Jenkins had a very disappointing rookie season, and the Bears had a new coaching staff and front office. Unfortunately, Jenkins won the starting-RG-spot; and may not be available.
Hope I am wrong.
Burns is a young stud, the kind of player you build around.Along with Derrick Brown, yes, but Carolina is undergoing a huge rebuild. In my opinion, if someone gets two first round picks, a second, and one or two good young players, nobody should be untouchable. And there's a lot of smokescreens around the trade deadline, so I'm skeptical that Burns is completely untouchable.
Agreed. 32 teams, and 5 OL-starters-per-team. That's 160 NFL OL starters.Sadly, I'm not even sure that Akers is an upgrade over Mike Boone. Boone has been a much much efficient back in his career.
You're also right about Denver's OL. They don't really have any great depth to move for anything, and they certainly can't afford to trade away their starters.
There have been so many OL injuries across the league so far that have decimated OL depth everywhere, even practice squads.
Why in the world is she encouraging her husband to retire now? He's at the peak of his career here in LA. Besides they just bought not one but two mansions and lawn maintenance people are expensive these days......We have Donald for the remainder of this season and probably next season. Who knows how much longer Stafford is going to play; I occasionally catch Kelly Stafford's podcast and she's been urging Matthew to retire asap. This team will look completely different in three seasons. We need all future early draft picks IMO. We're staring at a complete roster rebuild.

I tried to find something on this topic. Unfortunately, all I could find was something more disturbing.Their kids are getting to the age where they need their dad around more and she is terrified of brain trauma in the sport, if I remember correctly. She says she attempts to have the conversation but Matthew just usually blows her off hahaha. I think if it were up to her, Matthew would've retired after last season.
Honestly, I'm hoping more and more for CMC. I'm buzzed and about to smoke tho.Myles Simmons is reporting that Akers is done with the Rams. They are actively shopping him. Maybe Carolina would be open to a RB swap? Or maybe for Austin Corbett? Having Akers would allow them to openly shop McCaffery.
Williams better be as advertised or RB could be a problem for the rest of the season.
Well... We don't want of the non-quality OL starters anyway. That should reduce the number from 160 to around 100...Agreed. 32 teams, and 5 OL-starters-per-team. That's 160 NFL OL starters.
In my opinion, there are not 160 quality Offensive Linemen in the NFL.

From April 2022
Kelly Stafford and her NFL player husband Matthew Stafford are struggling with a big question: When is the right time for Matthew to get a vasectomy?
On her podcast, The Morning After with Kelly Stafford, the influencer spoke to her athlete husband about their plans for him to get a vasectomy in order to ensure that they will not have more children.
Kelly explained why her husband, NFL player Matthew Stafford, is concerned about getting a vasectomy.
Kelly joked, “I’m trying to get him snipped during The Masters but the a**hole won’t find a doctor.”
And the make-up Tips. Don't forget the make-up Tips!Yeah her podcast is on spotify/apple/wherever. She's mentioned a few times she wants Matthew to retire sooner rather than later, and on the most recent one (after the 49ers game I believe) she mentioned how she hated her girls seeing their dad get the shit kicked out of him and she doesn't want to see him go through what Tua and others have.
I started listening because she's had Matthew on a few times and continue to listen every now and then whenever I need a new podcast.
