I had mentioned a name in another thread Montaric Brown from the Jags. Might be about a $9 million aav type guy but would help. Not likely but a 2nd tier FA CB may be in play.

Well, I don't think they expected he would try to run down his gf when they drafted him.Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play...
Everyone and their mother knew that kid had character flags out his butt. Just terrible move.
Love would be a great pick, but I know teams are typically nervous when dealing with Top 10 RBsThis is an interesting conversation post trade, since the Rams are still sitting at #13 only four picks behind them.
Chiefs needs and strategy pivoting? Many mocks had them taking Love the RB.
Of course, I love Stafford. But at the time the trade was made, most were floored at the cost, which was way higher than anybody expected. And it's not as though that was an outlier -- it's Snead's MO. I love Snead, but he does tend to get the worst in trades. Why people deny this or try to pretend it's not true is one of life's strange wonders. It's a rather mundane, incontestable observation.Did you notice what WE got from the Lions? Sheesh.
Agree, Rams don't need a bunch of players that won't beat out what we already have. We need quality not quantity.Nice, I'm glad we addressed our biggest issue before free agency and the draft. He's young and been relatively healthy. He did hurt his knee and missed last 4 or 5 games of the season but it was a hyperextension and not a serious, long term issue. I'm not sure I'd call him a CB that can be on an island on the outside but he has a lot of versatility and is a great tackler. A great piece for Shula to move around as needed.
I actually hope we don't trade back from 13 as I think there's going to be several great players still there to take as a BPA.
Every report on him was this guys a loose cannon and I've never met anyone before with such anger issues.Well, I don't think they expected he would try to run down his gf when they drafted him.![]()
I'm more so thinking in trading for a player but yes definitely fleeced Atlanta. He literally did it to the Falcons last year.
It seems pretty clear to any unbiased observer that Les generally over pays and under-receives in trades. And to be fair to Les, the Falcon trade was a very good one, for sure. But he's always paid a very steep price for player trades -- Ramsey, Stafford, Von, and now McDuffie. I don't know why pointing out this rather obvious fact makes people think I don't like Les as a GM or that I didn't like the players he traded for. It's like they feel personally insulted or something. Weird.Me and you both....he's overdue for a great one although getting Atlanta's 1st wasn't too shabby. Fuck I wish we played better towards the end of last year cuz we'd really be sitting pretty if it were like a top 8 pick.
the only reason pearce was available that low was character issues tbf
True but they’ll need to get a deal done. UFAChiefs have a good CB in Watson so cupboard is not bare. They can still go any way they want.
Well, I might agree, one cannot surmise what other offers were on the table. If the Giants offered a second round pick and other picks, then the Rams had to trump that. Now, did the Rams have to include the 3rd in 2027? Not sure, but it is easy to communicate an overpayment without understanding other offers that the Rams were up against. It seems pretty clear to any unbiased observer that Les generally gets over pays and under-receives in trades. No one is mentioning championships just getting better value out of said trades involving actual players (Atlanta pick was a fleece but that was draft picks being traded not players). For example, we got peanuts for Ernest Jones yet he got traded to the Seahawks for even better picks. Snead is a still a great GM but no one is perfect. I know I've said all along, I'm greatful he's running the show. I highly doubt anyone is truly upsetSo all the's GM's that supposedly got the best of Les what exactly did they get? How many have won anything since then? I know the Rams have won a SB with Ramsey and Stafford. Is the goal to accumulate more picks to appease fans for their own values of players or to build a team to win a Lombardi?
Sorry but I'll take Sneads trades and roster building every day that went towards us lifting that Lombardi trophy. You can be upset he gets "fleeced" on the way to being a Champion.
According to all the experts. Oh wait, he is the expert. He overpays every time, true. Only thing more annoying is how he settles for less-than when he trades guys away.
Teams with a suspect OL shouldn’t be drafting these guys, imoLove would be a great pick, but I know teams are typically nervous when dealing with Top 10 RBs
Of course, we'll never know who Les was bidding against. But it's also true that each time these player trades have happened, most of us were surprised -- sometimes very surprised -- at the steep price. And also disappointed in what he got in return for his own players. And that's not just the homer in us. Even outside observers have been routinely surprised.Well, I might agree, one cannot surmise what other offers were on the table. Probably because it's not very obvious to some of us on some of the deals. It seems pretty clear to any unbiased observer that Les generally gets over pays and under-receives in trades.
