I would put the entire rams team in the new stadium and blow it up and start over.

The overreactions are tiring. We're not 1-10. Spend money and resources to shore up the OL. The rest should fall into place if we fix that problem.
Thank you. 3yrs ago the online was terrible and Goff and Gurley suffered because of the line play. We put the resources into the online and boom Goff and Gurley are All Pros. Online back to terrible again and now Goff and Gurley are looking like busts. Like you said fix the Oline problem and the rest will fall into place. Not that hard to figure out.

Do my part, be a good fan and keep rooting for my team

That's all we can do guys, being upset or canceling nfl ticket wont make the team play any better .

Calming down a bit, this is the conclusion I’ve come too. I can’t change anything and we have been through so much worse. I don’t think I would mind so much if Goff had better stats. At least when the Saints or Falcons are having down years, their QBs still put up numbers. I mean 11 TDs 12 INTs is Austin Davis type numbers.

Honestly here's what I would do.

First I would demote some of my offensive assistants and hire a real oc much like we had in year one. You can tell mcvays tendencies have been figured out and hes not putting himself or the team in the best position to win.

I'd let wade go only if we had a viable replacement ready to step in. Hes had 4 years to get this defense playing at a championship level and has yet to produce. Sure our rams have looked great against bad teams but against the good ones we cant seem to get over that hump. Last night was a prime example.

We have to deal or restructure gurelys deal. You HAVVVVVE TO. He takes up too much of the cap and doesn't get enough touches at this point for it to make sense. If he doesn't restructure we have to either sit him or cut him. Whatever makes the most sense. We need a full time RB plain and simple.

Weddle and Mathews both are done after this season. They've had some good games but against inferior opponents.

And goff, I'm not sure what happened to him this year/last year. He was on fire and then poof that seemed to vanish.
Teams either figured out his tendencies or mcvays route trees and CBs are just waiting for balls.
So you either restructure or consider the worse. You can't have one of the highest paid qbs playing like he is right now.
However I'd give him another year to see how he performs under better playing circumstances.

ILBs get a run stuffer and move Littleton over to play coverage. Littleton is great but hes playing handycaped having to play run at his size. Reader is interesting but hes young and needs to develop further.

Olb, I think we have to try to keep fowler. He hasn't done much lately but if signs for a decent deal I'd keep him.
And we need to address the other side. Need a big physical guy. Like a JT watt, bosa type of guy.

Brockers can go. Hes a 4-3 player that's just who he is. He never play like a first rounder hes just not that good.

Oline, evens and Edward's have played well for rookies. Evens looks smooth out there even last night he didn't give up much. Wit has to retire hes aging before our eyes.
We have some serious work to do on our oline. Hav ... yeah I dunno what to do with him we just signed him to a decent deal. Maybe trade him. I dunno.

Our biggest needs are in the trenches donald gets double or triple teamed every game and you're telling me, mathews, fowler, brockers, cant get home? Somethings wrong there.

If I were mcvay I'd play young guys from here on out. Already playing them on our Oline but id throw them into the mix more on dline, RB, LBs and our secondary. We have to find some potential amongst what we have on our team already and build around it.

This is what I would do.

First, I won’t resign Littleton or Fowler I would resign Brockers and Ramsey(way too much was given up not to get him long term) I would release Weddle

move to the 4-3 with Brockers playing the rde spot Donald rotating draft a big nasty fat ass Dt

Let Whitworth retire or move on from him. Find a big athletic strong center a big one
recommit to the damn running game and run more no huddle offense.

Greg Gaines is a big fat ass DT. He's played limited snaps, and I've seen him around the QB several times. He needs to be on the field!

I don't see a mess. I see a reasonably competitive 6-5 squad who got blown out by a juggernaut - the same juggernaut who are now on a 7 game streak of blowing out pretty good teams.

I'll take 6-5 over what we were served up every year from 2004 - 2017. We really do have short memories.

This. Stay the course and continue to build with whatever resources you have.

These sorts of games happen (Patriots against the Chiefs, Seattle against these very same Rams). Just last year the Rams were the juggernaut.

Not happy with 6-5, a few bounces the other side and the record looks different. But football...shit happens. A lot teams are also 6-5, and even more are much worse than that.

As long as they play competitive the rest of the year, I'm all good.

I’m playing this OL through the end of the year even if Hav is healthy.
Find a couple of Vet FA OL to compete for spots.
Figure out if Rapp can play traditional S or if he is Wade’s “tweener” only.
Have to find more talent on DL and ILB.
Have to add another CB.
The Rams are not far away and it has been a bit of a conspiracy of things that undid this year (I think the Rams are finishing 8-8).
Problem is they do not have a ton of resources to fill the holes.

He has played in games where they knew the team would want to run the ball a lot.
Would not surprise me if he does not see the field next week vs the Cards. But will be there vs Dallas etc.
He is a rotational DL in this D. That’s a good thing and he may turn out to be very good and get more snaps.
But, at this point a limited snaps guy.

It wasn't long ago that I was hoping for the same thing. As long as the Rams were competitive every Sunday, I was gonna be happy. Then they started blowing teams out and I got spoiled quickly-lol!

Let the defense suffer and fix the OL. Hope that Obo, SJD and Gaines are ready for full time roles. Cut Weddle and Matthews.

Re-sign Littleton.

Starting D next year:

SJD/Gaines/Donald/Obo/Littleton/Kiser/Ebukam/Ramsey/Long/JJ/Rapp

Every draft pick goes toward depth on D, starting pass rush first.

Take the money saved by letting Fowler walk, cutting Weddle/Matthews and go HAM on the OL in FA.

BUT - the most likely outcome is that they re-sign Littleton, Fowler, GZ and do not cut Weddle or Matthews - and then draft OL. In this scenario our day one starting OL would probably be:

Noteboom/Corbett/Allen/Edwards/Havenstein with Evans and rookies for depth.

If the second scenario takes place I will not look forward to next season.

Yeah, but when those teams have bad years, those teams have super, super, super shit defenses. Take what you saw last night on D and multiply it by 16. That's what makes those QBs blow up their stats.

Difference is this team is good enough to actually win those games. So I'm not worried a bit now or for the future. If this what we're witnessed is rock bottom under Sean McVay and friends, then bring it.

I see no value in resigning Fowler - he's JAG to me. Next to Donald, he should be dominating games and he's just not getting it done. I'd like to see how Ebukam and Obo look getting most of the snaps.

Wade needs to be gone, and this defense needs to be 4-3. Kiser looks like a prototypical MLB. Littleton would be deadly as a free-roaming OLB.

I'd move on from Havenstein - either via cut or trade. Evans is ready to play there.

Yep, right on. I was about as low as a football fan could be after last nights loss. I'm already ready to whip some Cardinal ass.

Would love to see this team fight until the end and finish 9-7 or better. Need to see some heart, because who knows what will happen.

Trading Donald is a nonstarter, they need to get better in the trenches, specifically on offense. McVay needs to evolve his playbook, and I trust he will. We’ll be back next season, it sucks that this one is a loss, but shit, we’re still likely to finish with a winning record, I trust this team to do at least that. Football is a competitive sport, look at the Eagles, how badly have they fallen after lighting the world on fire a few years ago? I trust this team still, a down year riddled with injury isn’t going to change that. Not after all the bullshit I went through just to see these guys finish with a winning record.
so who do u think we will beat to have a winning season? I’m thinking we win 1 against the cards then what?

Many on this board completely missed my point on cutting Gurley. My point is, if Sean is going to pitch count him because of his knee, he is ruining Goff in the process. The very thing McVay needs to run his offense is the threat of running. So either Gurley is too hurt to establish that or McVay is getting lost every game in his passing frenzy. Not sure which I prefer, but this Gurley’s knee won’t let him touch the ball 20 times a game speculation needs to be fixed. Either give it to him, or someone else, but play action doesn’t work without establishing the run.

He’s not giving it to anyone so what does that say. He’s showing you guys his true colors this year every game. The only positive is that next year he’s going to be more committed to the run I doubt that happen this year cause it’s not go fit in the Gurley knee narrative that they have been spreading so they can throw the ball and make him and Goff look good.

If Gurley can’t rush for 120 yards on 6 carries, then unload him! Lol.
Looked like the Gurley of old to me on that 15 yard run.

Yeah, I've been saying since week one there have been plenty of times where he's looked fine. They've just come so damn few and damn far between...
