I wish we could trade Ramsey and get those two draft picks back, but I believe it's past the trade deadline. At this point, all they can do is try and fix the O-line and get a damn running back. It's no coincidence that this team tanked after Gurley went down, and he hasn't been the same since.
Here we go again let’s all blame Gurley. At this point it should be obvious nothing is wrong with Gurley his acceleration his jump cuts all of it is still there but he only got 6 rushing attempts. I don’t get how people put Goff struggles on the offensive line then turn around and say get rid of Gurley cause he hasn’t looked the same. It’s ridiculous and doesn’t make sense he’s playing behind the same Line people blame for Goff struggles but when it comes to Gurley it’s him. Come on

This is what I would do.

First, I won’t resign Littleton or Fowler I would resign Brockers and Ramsey(way too much was given up not to get him long term) I would release Weddle

move to the 4-3 with Brockers playing the rde spot Donald rotating draft a big nasty fat ass Dt

Let Whitworth retire or move on from him. Find a big athletic strong center a big one
recommit to the damn running game and run more no huddle offense.

If Gurley can’t rush for 120 yards on 6 carries, then unload him! Lol.
Looked like the Gurley of old to me on that 15 yard run.

I would resign Littleton and Ramsey and let Brockers and Weddle walk. I also think they need to hire an OC, some of McVay's play calling this season has been questionable.

I'm not "blaming" Gurley. He's my favorite Ram! And he still looks good in limited action. But his knee is not going to get any better, he's obviously on a pitch count, his receiving stats are even worse, and he sometimes acts like he doesn't want to be there. I'm sorry if you're offended but IMHO the team needs a full-time running back. Everyone agrees we need to fix the O-line, yet Gurley frequently gets good yardage. Is it Gurley or the line or the play-calling that is the problem?

The overreactions are tiring. We're not 1-10. Spend money and resources to shore up the OL. The rest should fall into place if we fix that problem.

If Gurley frequently gets good yardage then how can it be HIM. The problem is the play calling and the oline good backs still get yards with a bad oline and Gurley is still doing that. Every time this year that he’s gotten more than 15 carries he’s proven that. This team doesn’t commit to the run they keep trying to prove why they gave Goff all that money and as of this year it backfired. If you want to get rid of Gurley because of usage that’s fine but that’s not on him it’s on the guy in Charge. You suit the guy up then ignore him.

As for the Gurley doesn’t look like he wanna be there the guy is a competitor who’s young in his prime was the best back in football two years running and this year he is a major after thought

Same. SJD can take Brockers' spot with Gaines stepping in at NT.

Agreed! He WAS the best back in football, and this year he seems to be an afterthought. It's time to stop guessing... Gurley's knee is arthritic. The Rams are trying to limit his touches to extend him another year, and he is being used primarily as a decoy or pass blocker, with an occasional run in between. BUT IT'S NOT WORKING! Give him 25 carries a game, and he will probably be out of there within a couple more games. Time to start Henderson. I'm not sure what else the Rams can do... this sucks!

The thing is if his knee was such a concern he shouldn’t be out there at all. Not pass blocking not being a decoy he should be on the sidelines with a baseball cap on but since he’s not and since he haven’t been all of this is on the coaches and their mismanagement of the situation. I haven’t heard the head trainer say anything about his knee

1. Sign a top interior OL free agent to shore up the interior. If Scherff hits FA he is the guy. There are quality options go get one of them.

2. Get Ramsey locked up. Said this a few weeks ago: sign him before this team fails to get to the postseason. Doing that cements the value for those high picks we gave up. It has to happen. If it doesn't, and if I'm the owner, then Demoff gets walking papers. That's how important this is.

3. Replace Kromer with Callahan as OL coach and run game coordinator. Bill C has experience working with McVay building plays in the run game. Kromer inevitably was behind the Rams' strategy on the offensive line this year. Sucks but that's the NFL. This is a slam dunk IMO.

4. Draft BPA to a fault to ensure we maximize value.

5. Enjoy watching this team get back in the mix next season.

do you build threw the draft or go for veteran leadership. i think ether can work but I also think that snead has paid to high a price for his vets. so I think we must give serious thought to replacing snead. also our greatest asset is donald but he is to easy to double in wade"s 3 4. so maybe wade needs to go also then spend the whole draft on ol men and hope we can hit a few gems to replace our weak spots. we also need to evaluate our position coachs and replace the weak ones. macvay gets 2 more years then he has to be looked at. this is not a good position to be in no draft picks and little cap space. this is just my opinion but I think we are looking at a 3 to 4 year recovery so I quess we must show some patience.

What are the Rams supposed to say? That his knee is arthritic, but because of the salary cap we can't cut him just yet? And I totally agree about the mismanagement of this situation! I don't think Gurley likes it either. Just my opinion, obviously.

I have also said that the offense needs a spark, and that it could be Henderson. What else can the Rams try? They don't have any guys left to sub on the O-line... at this point it's plug them in and hope for the best. Same thing with Henderson. Let him start and Gurley can sub for him when he's tired. Might as well see what the kid's got.

What I’m meaning is that even if Gurley knee is that bad which I don’t agree Brown only got 1 rush attempt Henderson hasn’t been used in about two or 3 games now.

this is a coaching philosophy problem the guy don’t believe in the run game

Totally agree. However, the Rams did have the #1 rushing offense the past 2 years, IIRC. And I think Gurley's knee is ok, but it will start bothering him again if he uses it too much.
