Weird. Why would they spend 5B on stadium, then give visitors side (shade) a better experience than home side (glaring sun)? Wonder if this is a part of a plan or a weird oversight.I am actually on the visitors side (413), and confirmed multiple times this is the shady side. It was brutal sun on visitors side at the coliseum, and made sure before I bought...
With solar panel technology as it is today why not put panels on the roof to power the stadium?

I think they're using solar energy to light the place. If you put panels on the transparent part no sun gets through. With solar panel technology as it is today why not put panels on the roof to power the stadium?
I wouldn't be too concerned with the sun. First, SoFi is much more vertical than the Coliseum so you won't be looking into the sun but rather, down. Also there is going to be a significant amount of glare blocked out by the ETFE, and occulus scoreboard.Well if it means anything, they confirmed my section is completely sold out and filled with actual Rams fans. They say the 500 section is where the visitors will actually get tickets.
So I'll believe that when I see it
They're probably too heavy.

"A big ole #12. Daddy? That must be 6 times worse than a #2..."Kind of cool to think somebody gets to say to their kid...
“Son, see that section of roof right there? I took a dump sitting there. Yes, son... A big ole #12”.

I don't get the perforated panels. Won't water come through the holes when it rains?

And I'm fairly convinced now the visitor side (West) is in the shade. I doubt that will make any difference, just a curious choice.
