I am actually on the visitors side (413), and confirmed multiple times this is the shady side. It was brutal sun on visitors side at the coliseum, and made sure before I bought...
Weird. Why would they spend 5B on stadium, then give visitors side (shade) a better experience than home side (glaring sun)? Wonder if this is a part of a plan or a weird oversight.

I know some Raider fans who are excited about going to Vegas and how sharp their new stadium will look. I show them some pics of the Rams new stadium, current and computer model and they go "Oh dang". They admit the Rams stadium will be much, much nicer than the Raiders stadium.

Well if it means anything, they confirmed my section is completely sold out and filled with actual Rams fans. They say the 500 section is where the visitors will actually get tickets.

So I'll believe that when I see it :)

I wouldn't be too concerned with the sun. First, SoFi is much more vertical than the Coliseum so you won't be looking into the sun but rather, down. Also there is going to be a significant amount of glare blocked out by the ETFE, and occulus scoreboard.

I believe this is the case as well, just covering bases. With angle, filter on roof, and oculus, this really should be a non-issue.

I think this place is going to be fairly awesome with the hybrid indoor outdoor vibe. I'm hoping they have spent much time on the environment control, since I'm actually more concerned about being cooked on hot August days of preseason. That open-to-outside only works when there is airflow.

Kind of cool to think somebody gets to say to their kid...

“Son, see that section of roof right there? I took a dump sitting there. Yes, son... A big ole #12”.
"A big ole #12. Daddy? That must be 6 times worse than a #2..."
"That's my little mathematician. Let me tell you about that Oompa Lumpa..."

I don't get the perforated panels. Won't water come through the holes when it rains?

That's a great question. Maybe the thought is to change a hard rain into a drizzle at worst, embrace that indoor/outdoor vibe.

I'm pumped, these shots are amazing. And I'm fairly convinced now the visitor side (West) is in the shade. I doubt that will make any difference, just a curious choice.

WOW!!!

That has been the best footage yet. Very well produced.

My seats are on the home side. As they have been installing the panels I have been paying attention to their affect on the lighting. And it seems to make a big difference. (Big can be debated to some)

I have been wondering if the nets under the panels are part of the design. A few of the nets were a different color than others so my guess they are part of the installation process.

None the less, great share! Thanks!!!

GO RAMS!!!

The panels are not clear but rather opaque. I flew over the stadium a few nights ago while it was lit up inside and carefully looked at the difference between the open area and the areas with panels. I saw a certain diffusing of the lights. I can't imagine the positioning of which side our team is on was any oversight. I think we have all been in rooms with diffused sun light and can see how different it is than direct light.

At least I hope. :)

Anyone knows about whether if there will be electronic advertisements or scores projected on the roof as airplanes are flying over SoFi Stadium?
