"Give me a hug you little jitterbug." "You're going to be a big star here in Dallas."

Didn't know TAustin had a necrophilia fetish.

Bad decision by the rams to extend him but they had no option at the time.

Wish tavon luck but unless he has added alot to this game, he will be the same guy giving the same results.

Defenses have figured out he cant run many routes and doesnt have the ability to track deep balls and catch them at thier highest point . I dont think I have ever seen him jump up and high point a ball .

I don't buy what Tavon is saying. what happened to all the offseason work outs with other NFL wideouts? I think he worked out with Antonio Brown. So now the reason he hasn't done anything is because he was lazy? Maybe the reason he sucks at WR is because he has hands of stones and runs shitty routes. The great thing he could do is return punts but those hands screwed him again. I will believe it when I see it Tavon.

And now he's in a contract year and suddenly realized he had bad work ethic so he's going to really try this year...

And stop giving a crap next year after his next contract.

Reading that article, with gushing praise, I started to fall for the “TA preseason hype,” just like the old days.

But then I read how they call him their secret “vertical threat.”

“Vertical threat”? Please.

IIRC, TA did not receive even one single TARGET of beyond 15 yards in 2017.

"For one, my work ethic," he said. "My work ethic went out the window. I'm not saying I wasn't working hard, but it went out the window. I didn't work as hard as I used to do."
Gee, thanks Tavon...you A-Hole!

Too bad we won't see him this year since the cowgirls won't sniff the playoffs. I would love to see Joyner unload on him one time.

Good good, I hope Austin lights everybody's ass on fire and tears it up! Always liked the guy and he has a great attitude. It's sad Mr. 7-9 ruined his fan fair by giving him that contract that made him so unpopular.
The guy openly admits to half assing it while he was here and you call that a great attitude? The 2nd contract isn't the only problem he was over drafted to begin with. Even in a top scoring offense where he should of been a bright spot he couldn't make plays or dropped punts

Its true... but to be fair he was much less effective when his wrist was broken.

The WRs were nothing special before McVay, Britt is the only one I remember. If there was a team he could’ve starred for it was the Rams. You don’t see many guys his size as deep threats as a decent corner will move him off his spot. Guys that size generally have to be tough to survive working the middle level like Amendola and Beasley, I don’t know if TA is that guy.

Dak Prescott said Tavon Austin is "not just a gadget" player.

"I didn’t know he was as good of a receiver as he was and could run routes as well as he does, and catch the ball every single time," Prescott said. "He’s a guy you can put out there, inside, outside and trust he’s going to get open." The Cowboys have steadily said they plan to use Austin as a receiver, and that is primarily how he was deployed in the preseason opener. He did play behind Allen Hurns, Michael Gallup, and Terrance Williams in that contest, however, and he will likely be behind Cole Beasley once the slot receiver returns from injury. Still, he does carry some deep sleeper appeal on a wide-open depth chart.

Looks like TA has started that break out year in Dallas. Some might accuse him of padding his stats but the kid might just be that kind of player in the NFL.

16 total yards including 2 punt returns and a rush attempt. Sounds about right.
