So Peters is a possible go this week against the VIks? I just don't see that happening. I have faith that Shields and Hill will hold their own. Hill was playing great at the end of last year. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off. I'm not worried about Shields, the guy can still ball. He broke up a couple nice passes last week that would have been TD's and had a great INT against the Cards. Look for him to lock down One of Viks WR's.

This is where our Dline needs to disrupt their weak Oline.

I see many checkdowns in Cousins immediate future.

Vikings are on their heels right now thanks to Buffalo. And three off days are not enough to fully regroup.

IMO......our game to lose.

GO RAMS!!!

Hard to tell what the surgery Talib is getting will entail but it doesn't sound real good for recovery time. This description says you can't bear weight on a deltoid tear and Talib walked off the field so I'm a little puzzled as to what he is having done. Let's hope it is mostly a proactive procedure to strengthen his ankle and he'll hopefully have a quicker turnaround time.

I don't think they will know about the deltoid until the actual surgery.

Edit:
Rams likely without Talib until late season, Peters for at least a few weeks

One of the early-season favorites to make the Super Bowl has taken a hit on defense.

The need for surgery means it is a significant ankle injury.

The best-case scenario would be a late-season return for Talib – December at the earliest, and that could extend to January or beyond.

Surgery for a high ankle sprain means there is a complete ligament tear.

The syndesmotic ligament holds the two ankle bones (fibula and tibia) together. A full tear leads to ankle joint instability with widening of the two bones.

It is possible to tear the ligament and spare a bone fracture.

A cornerback needs near full recovery from this injury to be effective, and there is no guarantee it will happen during this season.

Both Rams conerbacks will likely be out for a while. Marcus Peters has a calf strain, and will not be able to play Thurs against the Vikings.

The best-base there is an October return. But calf injuries can linger, as the need to backpedal and break on the ball utilizes the calf muscles.

So it will be a while before the Rams have either of their excellent cornerbacks, and one might be gone for the season.

So if my math is correct... Talib should be back by the time Barron's ready to play...

Damn that sucks. Can some remind me exactly how the IR designated to return works? Do they have to come back and be activated to 53 man roster after 8 weeks or can they be out longer?

Hatfield vs Vikings WRs again oh no...

Vikings are next to last in the League in scoring drives. And, that's against teams with a healthy defense. If the Rams frost 7 plays well, there won't be very many intermediate to long pass attempts in the game. I'm not worried.
