Not only will we get them both back, but our offense is so good that we will win some shootout games. Thursday will be a tough test though and my guess is MP doesn't play. We will need to score 35 to have a shot.

Yeah I do consider it good news that we're probably gonna get both of them back. I say probably because high ankle sprains are terribly unpredictable btw. But either way I am thankful.

Buckle up for some shootout football dudes... Next five games, fortunately, look damn easy given a playoff schedule (and I went 5 games to account for maybe one of them needing a bit more time):

Vikes
@ Shehawks
@ Broncos
@ 9ers
Packers

I figure the Vikes and Packers games will be rough. But hopefully we get them both back when the cheeseheads and their idiotic faithful come to town.

Rams clearly have enough Offense to get through those games without too much damage to the record.

7-1 or 6-2 without our Corners?

Would we sign up for that?

I think we drop at least one game. We’re not gunna be 16-0 and our offense will stall out at some point. But I could see Denver giving us a tough fight.

How about 8-0? The Rams can beat all of them. Stomp your foot on the gas, Sean!

I'm comfortable with Shields playing in his absence. Shields is looking like the shadow of his former self which I was excited for. I think he'll be a great stop gap

High ankle injuries are 6 weeks typically.

It's a complex joint, like a shoulder. Those are the two joints with the most range of motion and have the most stuff going on on there.

It's six weeks

All things taken into consideration, this is extremely good news! Even without them, we don't lose the division. Now, given a good recovery, there is a chance that these guys are more fresh in the second half of the season and the playoffs. I'm ok with it.

In a perfect world, on paper, etc., you're 100% right. The problem is if the Rams drop a couple of games, these guys will play with what will amount to nagging injuries.

I don't doubt your prediction that the Rams are gonna inevitably win the west, but a victory on Thursday will buy us some injury recovery time. I know I'm getting too far ahead, but I'm thinking playoffs already.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best. 4 - 6 weeks without one or both of our starting CBs doesn't sound ideal. What if we:

1) pick up a FS (e.g. Eric Reid) moving Joyner to CB - or -
2) pick up another CB (e.g. Bashaud Breeland) - or -
3) pick up an edge rusher to put more pressure on the QB

Remember Hill has been extremely underwhelming for a while and Shields is one concussion away from the end to his career.
