so does smart trading...The Bills run a zone-based defense. Scheme matters.
Your sleeping on how much thr threat of him being on the field opened up for everybody...we need a #1 receiver
Articles have been posted countless times with Wade saying he was a good player just not a scheme fit.Unless you guys can provide a source that isn't just opinion about EJ Gaines and whether he would have been dumped. IT'S ONLY OPINION. You can 'different opinion" the hell out of this post too if you want. but it's a fact unless you can provide something solid from the Rams that says different
What is the point of confusing the issue by comparing two different Horns regimes. Fisher paid Tavon the huge contract---it had nothing to do with Sean. Given the realities of looming contract deals with our top core players (i.e., Aaron, Todd, & Jared), there is limitations on what they can afford to pay Sammy and remain competitive & flexible salary cap-wise.

If we can sign the Robert Woods of deep threats (full effort, skill set to fit the role, not elite talent) then Woods becomes the decoy and everyone else prospers. It's a zero sum game of sorts for the defense and it's part of why the offense works. We don't need, obviously, inhuman levels of deep threat greatness. Just someone who can make them pay when they roll coverage to Woods because he's perceived as the real threat.Yeah, our draft just changed somewhat..imo. If Watkins was that worthless to Sean McVay, then there would have been no great effort to re-sign him if he thought Reynolds and Thomas were the answers.
Now all of the top corners in the NFL will be focusing on Robert Woods when they play us, and I am not sure our offensive output will be the same as last year.
McVay wanted Sammy back, just as Fisher wanted Tavon back. Snead & Demoff are still in place. Going forward we shall see how that Rams handle the next core. Im not confident on Donald, as he is up first. If he is looking for market value, Rams are in trouble.
We have two #1 receivers, we just have to develop one of our young seep threats or add a new one.Your sleeping on how much thr threat of him being on the field opened up for everybody...we need a #1 receiver
When we were at U of W we met with Vea but not Pettis. That should answer a lot of questions here.
Who?We have two #1 receivers, we just have to develop one of our young seep threats or add a new one.
No your right I wouldn't have given him 16 either but IMO we still need a # 1 or hope Thomas or Reynolds can fill that voidNo, we don't. Sammy's speed did open things up for others, but there are plenty of deep threats capable of doing the same. At the end of the day, McVay >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sammy.

Nothing else on the market is attractive. And this WR class is going to be overpriced in the draft in terms of teams reaching a bit to get the guy they want, vs the talent they'll be getting for where they're taking it.
Rams gambled and lost on him, time to move on developing their guys and maybe upgrading the TE room as a way to ensure Goff has what he needs.
