Alba gu brath (Scotland forever)
Tiocfaidh ár lá, Cymru am byth, Alba gu bráth.
Fair play to your boys today, loving the upset Englishmen who were saying they'd win by 3.

For shits and gigs, this had me rolling.
@rdw warning on Ardbeg. It has an acquired taste as it is heavy peat and has strong notes of charcoal filter similar to Jack Daniels. But if you enjoy that kind of smokiness, props and enjoy.
JW Blue is my go to.Wow. I'm not much of a drinker. Mostly Mich Ultra. But, reading this thread has got me going ape shit for scotch.
What should I try for my first real drink of scotch?
I've been thinking Johnnie Walker Blue. Anyone tried it? Is it good or not worth the mula?

Have you had JW green label?JW Blue is my go to.
I always have a bottle or two about just in case.
I think it’s worth it.
Opinions my vary.
Just picked up a JW Double Black... pretty good! I've only had Blue once and enjoyed it but the bartender put an ice cube in it and I really wanted to try it neat but didn't want them to pour it out. I'd some point I'll break down and pick up a bottle.JW Blue is my go to.

I've had quite a few bottles. My crew usually gets it for my Christmas present. It's some good stuff! Like others have said (@ScotsRam in particular, very knowledgeable) a little water or big ole round ice cube is best. It does release the flavors a little better. Lapraig is very peaty or smoky flavor, JW Double Black also has a peat/smoky taste just not as strong. JW Green, don't like at all. Oban is a great single malt which is different from JW which are all blended. Believe it or not, Costco has some good tasting Scotch whiskey for like every day drinking. I like all my Scotch with ice. Personal preference.Wow. I'm not much of a drinker. Mostly Mich Ultra. But, reading this thread has got me going ape shit for scotch.

Yes, for a blended not bad at all. Costco has some comparable blended bottles similar to JW, just a little bit more fruity but at a 3rd of the cost of JW.i like Johnnie Walker , it’s a good blend … anything with talisker in it can’t be bad.
I have. Didn't care for it for some reason. Don't remember why, maybe it taste kind of green? Like vegetables?Have you had JW green label?
My collection is up to 65 bottles. We are buying a new build house which will be ready in March 22 so I am gonna have to get a sweet set up to display all my whisky.
