Wow close to a year since we were in this thread! I recently was suggested a new bourbon. Story goes the master distiller for Angels Envy, one of my absolute favorites, launched his own line and it's called Center Stave. I'm really enjoying this port cask finish. Absolutely 10/10 would recommend

I was out and about today and said what the heck, I’ll try it.

The nose has cherries, fig, vanilla, and hints of cocoa and clove. Flavor dominated by cherry, vanilla and some clove at the end of it. It is fairly warming so I added a couple of drops of water to see how the spirit changes.

The water helps to bring out additional cocoa with the cherry and vanilla. Reduces the fusel as well.

These are a couple of the flavors I enjoy in a good bourbon. Very good recommendation @OldSchool , thank you!

So I happened to be at Costco a few weeks ago and this dude had a table set up by the liquor area. He was selling this tequila called Qui. Looks like this

So as he was explaning how its processed intrigued me very much. The sample he provided was a swab that he sprays so you can smell the notes. Its aged in whiskey barrels and you get that taste of bourbon in a Tequila. $59 and the best $59 I ever spent on a tequila. It was promotional, but these bottle can run up to $90-$100. Great for sipping, and if you like shots you won’t be disappointed smooth as hell no harsh after taste where chasers of salt or lemons needed.
