Lots to unpack just from that video.
Cons: medium hands. He doesn't exactly have hands of stone, but he does bobble a lot of balls. He needs to work on softening up his hands.
That's about it for cons.
Pros: Legit deep speed.
Amazing body control not just when running routes, but also making a contested or sideline catch as well as recovering his own bobbles.
His functional catch radius (that'd be his catch radius in games) is amazing.
The good news is that he's coming into a system and to a couple of QBs that both have really nice touch (as we all know the issue for Goff was much more a function of WRs not running the correct route as well as an OL that was like a sieve.
Lastly, this changes the WR corps dramatically.
Even if we keep 6 WRs, we're now looking at Watkins (legit #1 now, no question), Woods (legit #2), Austin (slot), Kupp (versatile), Thomas and ? Even if it's not Thomas, then we only have two slots left.
One of the rookies or 2nd year guys isn't going to make it.
All that said, I LOVE this move. I think Buffalo traded him because they didn't want to pay a #1 receiver with their QB situation and Jordan Matthews won't break the bank and is functional.
