You're speaking with your heart there Loyal. Woody isn't a dominating force, he's a good all-around wideout and teams can find those guys without too much problem.
Then why would a team trade for him?

I agree that month had a lot to do with his loss. I agree he's not a JAG. He's just not worth that contract they paid him. Not when your strategy is to pay elite players and cobble together a roster around them.Totally disagree.
The winless month of November was due in large part to Woody's injury, imo. He did all the little things well that don't show up on stat sheets and it was before OBJ understood the system. Woods makes Kupp better by blocking for him, providing and being a legitimate threat as a decoy, along with clutch catching ability when it matters.
He is not a jag WR, my friend.
Because a shit ton of teams run WCO now. And a lot of teams can use a guy like Woody who does it all. He's a swiss army knife for a WCO team. Then why would a team trade for him?
5 TD in last 6 games for a #3 WROsborn averaged 2.9 receptions per game and 38.5 ypg he may end up being really good but some may need to pump the breaks a bit
So 2 TD's the first 11 games? Again he may turn out to be really good when he gets the chance for more playing time but for people to act like a team wouldn't be interested in Woods because they have some guy that averages 38 yards receiving per game doesn't seem like a good argument to me.5 TD in last 6 games for a #3 WR
Those are solid numbers for any #3 WR, much less a 2nd year guy
Van Jefferson was a non-factor in the second half of the most important game of the year. He disappeared. Atwell has done virtually nothing in the NFL and is too small in any case to remain uninjured (imo). I hope we keep Woods and maybe get a a good edge rusher or Bobby Wagner and focus the draft on Oline and defense and maybe a RB in the draft. If we can't get Wagner, get a good CB in FA.
Keep Robert Woods.
I see a lot of reply's that are not taking enough consideration into the idea that a trade partner will want what they think is fair value in exchange, not what we think is fair. If we trade a receiving asset Woods has easily the most value. I know Snead works magic but if we are to receive a starter caliber player I think we will probably sacrifice one in return. I don't see Atwell & Jefferson combined as equal to Woods.I really see Jefferson and/or Atwell as going if there is a deal to be made, but I will no longer be surprised by anything Snead does.
A second rounder for an indispensable part of the offense and the heart of the team? So they could draft another Tutu or Van? No thanks.I'm only trading Woods if your getting a 2nd back. It doesn't save us that much cap that its a great idea. We don't even have OBJ under contract and I'm not pleased with the idea of Von being our 3rd WR anymore after his poor SB performance. He looked unusable. Don't tell the other teams that though, cuz thats who I'd be trying to trade.
Yet the whole league is abuzz about his trade potential and the Rams are fielding phone calls.I love Bobby Trees, but let's be real, he's a career WR2 (zero probowls), 3 weeks from 30, rehabbing a major injury with a sizable long term contract contract attached to him.
What kind of offers would we realistically get for him - a 6th rounder?
Not very tempting on it's face, but clearing $7.1m in cap space might clear room to sign someone like Wagner or Gilmore. Then it looks like Woods for Wagner/Gilmore (plus a late round pick and long term cap relief).
Well if your myopic view cant see a big picture, there isnt anything to discuss. By that rationale, OBJ only average 38 yds per game in reg season, so he's no good eitherSo 2 TD's the first 11 games? Well if you're ready to crown his ass for pedestrian numbers you're right there's nothing to discuss. Oh and great comparison since one has proven himself and one hasn't.Well if your myopic view cant see a big picture, there isnt anything to discuss. Is Woods to Detroit just to obvious?

My gut feeling is he gets dealt to the Colts. They have a shit ton of cap space. Need another wideout. Just shitcanned a QB they traded a top pick for. And whether they draft a QB or trade for one a guy like Woody helps them out.

4th rounder I'd say would be best offerYet the whole league is abuzz about his trade potential and the Rams are fielding phone calls.
IE, There is interest.
Then keep him. No brainer.4th rounder I'd say would be best offer
He's talented and there is always interest in obtaining talent at a good price.Yet the whole league is abuzz about his trade potential and the Rams are fielding phone calls.
