Agreed.Then keep him. No brainer.
I also believe that he is more valuable to the Rams then he is to other teams, so I just cant see a scenario where trading him makes sense.

I guess if your contention is that Robert Woods was going to be dealt due to his salary no matter what happened with Von Miller"? Because the Rams spent less to acquire Alan. Robinson which will prove to be a good deal in future years {imo} than getting Miller. He's talented and there is always interest in obtaining talent at a good price.
I suppose the best argument another team would have to trade a mid-round pick for him is that we would eat over half his '22 salary (in a pre-june 1 trade) and they could cut him for $2.2m the next season if it didn't pan out.
So then the other team is committed to a total $9.1m (spread across 2 seasons) for a one season gamble with the ability to lock in for three more years at market rates if he returns to form.
So, maybe worth a 4th round pick?
Without a doubt.I think what is overlooked a bit is that McVay saw the impact of OBJ as a redzone target. As good as Woods is and certainly Jefferson, they are not prime redzone guys. Robinson is with his size and his ability to go get 50/50 balls.
So it would seem a reason why you bring him in while shipping one of the other two out.... And still wanting to add OBJ as well.
One thing that gives me comfort is that some have been trying to trade Bobby Trees almost since we got him from the Bills.
Like the Dude, Woody Abides.
I like the response, but the characters are a lil different in nature...lol
I'm not sure I'd want to trade him because he gives us more intrinsic value (in our system) than his probable trade value. There is a bigger picture here though and money freed from his contract can be applied to obtaining (or retaining) other valuable pieces.I guess if your contention is that Robert Woods was going to be dealt due to his salary no matter what happened with Von Miller"? If not, then the Rams can enjoy a stacked WR group WITH Robert Woods. Does having Woods make us better than not having him? We will accept a 4th rounder for a WR that has a history of doing great things for us, which bodes well for similar production in the future, and we wasted a 3rd rounder on Tutu Atwell last year? McSnead wanted to stack the WR group last year with Atwell and DJAX, but that didn't work out. All for saving a few cap dollars when it seems that CAP is a figment in Stan Kronke's imagination?
Having Woods makes us better than not having him. Kupp, Woods, A. Robinson, Higbeast....Sign me up!

NFL trade rumors: Can the Detroit Lions compete in the trade market for Robert Woods?
The Los Angeles Rams are getting calls about Robert Woods, but can the Detroit Lions legitimately compete in the market to acquire him?sidelionreport.com
My response:
No, Robert Woods doesn't "seem to be available." Teams from around the league saw the Robinson signing and started calling and asking about Woods. Other than AD, Kupp, Stafford and Ramsey, Les Snead is at least gonna listen, but that's a FAR CRY from a guy being "available". This is irresponsible. The Rams presuming Robinson clears his physical only have 3 healthy WRs in Kupp, Robinson and Van Jefferson. Woods, OBJ, Skowronek, Jacob Harris and Tutu Atwell are ALL rehabbing with Woods being back the soonest and we know McVay isn't remotely interested in not having weapons, so no, Woods is not "available". He may end up being moved, but that's not remotely the Rams plan and anyone who follows the Rams can tell you that Woods is the heart and soul of this team... not AD (although after his leadership in the SB, that may change), not Stafford, not Kupp, not Ramsey... Woods. Woods ultimately assured OBJ that he'd have a home here. Woods took Kupp under his wing. Woods has always been the scrappy guy who will do the dirty work. I get that his is the silly season, but c'mon.

And add Woods to Kupp and Robinson...YES! Triple Good!I've never been a "trade Robert Woods" guy... love him.. love everything about him right down to his LA and USC roots.
After seeing how this offense looked when Odell got comfortable with both Jefferson and Kupp available... I could see the Rams moving on from Woods.
Robinson is a true WR1 talent and a devastating red-zone threat.
Much like we saw Stafford unlock Kupp's true ceiling... Robinson will explode in this Rams offense.
Kupp and Robinson together will open so much up for whoever else is running routes for this team.
100% but we the champs and this how we have fun. We all know we don't know but we have fun thinking we know what can't be known while in the position of know nothingsAfter what we have seen from Snead/McVay over the last 4 years, why would anyone remotely pretend they have any idea what the Rams intend to - or ultimately will - do?
I think I'm insulted...100% but we the champs and this how we have fun. We all know we don't know but we have fun thinking we know what can't be known while in the position of know nothings
Sure.. but what I'm saying is that you don't need Woods in that case. @Merlin has been making the argument for a while that Woods would be gone if they re-signed OBJ.. I was leaning against that until the last stretch of the season where it became clear how much that true "X" receiver can unlock Stafford and the entire offense to new levels. And add Woods to Kupp and Robinson...YES! Triple Good!
But Jefferson didn't thrive when it mattered, Catching a couple of bombs in week 3 or 4 doesn't count a whole lot when you do absolutely zilch in the 3rd and 4th quarter of the Super Bowl, like how Jefferson performed. As for Atwell, you really can't say anything about him because he's done absolutely nothing in the NFL so far. Meanwhile, Woods has been a stud until his injury, which should be healed and ready to go by mini camp.Sure.. but what I'm saying is that you don't need Woods in that case. @Merlin has been making the argument for a while that Woods would be gone if they re-signed OBJ.. Jefferson will thrive as the number 3 in that scenario. Shoot.. Tutu and Harris will be able to make impacts because of those two.
With Kupp and Robinson, you have two beasts that can line up anywhere and do anything.
