OK I know its a crazy world out there and I don't doubt your sincerity. But to buy into this argument one has to believe the one who posted it did it just to incite this type of response . Instead of in the spirit of the thread. Is that what you are saying? I see that as a real reach.

No, that’s not what I was saying.

Moving on.

Here’s what NFL.com says;

What is Kraft's legal jeopardy?
The charge is punishable with up to 60 days in jail, six months of probation and $500 in fines, according to Florida law.

DA will go out of his way to treat him like anyone else. Misdemeanor - no criminal record - he will likely be given a deferral (which means something like community service in exchange for a dismissal). Many jurisdictions require admission of guilt for these kind of things. Could be interesting. Me thinks he is in more trouble with the NFL than he is with the law. He will get the same suspension that drunkard mcpillpopper from the Colts got for his DWI - which was what, 4 games?

But to be clear, because of the diverse surroundings of my upbringing, my military experience, and my current employment, I’ve made it a point to never display my political beliefs and would never throw a finger up at anyone else’s. I take candidates on thier individual merits and am not party affiliated.

I'll drink to that @Dog

Not if authorities can't trace it to him. I doubt Kraft or his people would leave a paper trail as much as I doubt this was just his hide away rub n tug spot he found out from an associate.

I believe this is the tip of the ice-berg in what we will be hearing about Robert Kraft and his careless Viagra addiction.

So now we have gone from him getting his Lewinski on, to he has a Viagra addiction and is complicit in creating this particular group of POS's that have done this to women.

Mmmkay. That's a big leap.

I'm not saying it is impossible, but really, really improbable.

I think it'll be more because this is a more repugnant crime to the general public, and that's what will concern Goddell, the image issue.

Addicts garner more sympathy than people using prostitutes who are enslaved. If there are records that he went there more than just the two times that are on tape I'd wager he would get at least 8 games and a gigantic fine or loss of draft picks.

Currently this story is on front page of every legit news site in the nation, and some overseas. It's not going away anytime soon so this is going to be a stick in the eye for the NFL on an ongoing basis.

David Hogg was the subject of death threats and a smear campaign by the fringe-right group Infowars, claiming that Hogg was a “crisis actor” who wasn’t *really* present at the Parkland shooting. (Infowars did the same thing to Sandy Hook victims, claiming the whole thing was staged, etc.... crazy talk, of course. Sandy Hook families went through such Hell due to these lies that they sued Infowars).

Here’s some info about what Hogg and his family have had to endure:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hogg_(activist)

So the meme about Hogg saying “There I was” perpetuates a vicious lie from a far-right crazytown site named Infowars. And yes, i find it incredibly offensive.

My post objecting to the Hogg meme was conveniently deleted, while the disgusting meme about Hogg remains. I’m all for making fun of Kraft, but I’m not okay with “jokes” about the Parkland shooting survivors.
Oh FFS!

He is a John. This DAs office will have prosecuted (or deferred prosecution on) thousands and thousands of Johns over the last several years. It won’t be hard to pull all of the similar charges and see how each case was resolved and compare that to how he is treated. When something is on the front pages, you go out of your way to make sure that it is treated the same - not differently.

I wouldn’t expect much to come out of the criminal side of this if he is merely a customer. Now if evidence unfolds that can pin him to the trafficking, whole new ballgame.

Lol.

FWIW, 503, I know your intent was light-hearted. That particular meme just has some dark, freaked-up crap behind it, that maybe most are not aware of.
No problem man. It just kinda pissed me off. I just don't like people putting thoughts I never thought into my posts. Heck... I have a hard enough time putting my own thoughts into them.

I would just suggest you let stuff like that go. I mean you could find politics and offense in practically anything a bunch of dudes say or post on a sports forum. Hell - Les dared mention the name of Monika Lewinski in this very thread. The horror!

.

I should have said Viagra addiction [Hypothetical]). My point is that now that the hounds have been released I believe we will be hearing a whole lot more about Mr. Kraft's sexual misadventures. I don't have anything against Kraft but I sure take pleasure in anybody belonging to the Pat organization stepping in dog s#$t!!

I don’t really follow politics, and in retrospect, I regret posting that and leaving to question my motives.

It coulda been anyone in that meme to be honest. I guess Bernie Sanders is kinda important these days but this gesture was purely for the threads lighthearted nature.

But to be clear, because of the diverse surroundings of my upbringing, my military experience, and my current employment, I’ve made it a point to never display my political beliefs and would never throw a finger up at anyone else’s. I wasn't sure and I am glad I asked. I appreciate your answer and not taking my question the wrong way.
Cheers my Rams brother

I dont think that should even be a crime, in all honesty. People have needs, and if they have money, they should be able to pay to fulfill those needs.

But since he's a Cheatriot, I say lock him up and throw away the key!

But the thing of the matter is that these women were forced into sex against their will. That's a crime.

In this case that does seem to be what has happened. Not all Asian massage parlors are staffed by sex slaves. For instance, there are a significant number of Korean prostitutes who marry American soldiers to come here, and when the marriage (shockingly) doesn't work out, they end up back in their industry, just for higher pay than they got in Korea.

Kraft will undoubtedly testify that he had no idea that they were sex slaves - and it might even be true, although he has the resources to have investigated the situation, and quite frankly should have.

Don't get me wrong - he's a scumbag, and has shown for many years that ethics applies to other people, but not him. Regardless, I expect him to get a slap on the wrist unless other stuff comes out. Since the NFL has shown repeatedly that he and the Patriots get off lightly for infractions, I expect any punishment to be light.

I see what you did there.

I bet the videos show he gets off lightly too.

I hope this prompts some investigative reporting on Kraft to further expose his shady side. He's a scumbag and I believe he fully approved of every rule bending/breaking tactic that Belichick devised, because it put more money in his pockets.

Kraft is given a lot of credit for the current financial state of the NFL. He heads many of their subcommittees, negotiated the first huge TV contracts and ended the lockout (that everyone conveniently forgets he started). I think Goodell will have a difficult time coming down hard on Kraft, despite Kraft and his team straining the relationship with Goodell through the years with repeated cheating offenses.

I am showing my age truly but I remember a time when this sort of thing was a death knell for anyone in public life. To save their family, friends, and businesses more grief they would simply fade away. But its a brave new world. Kraft will come out with some sort of statement of repentance and flip the crowd the bird as he walks back to his limo. Business as usual. Now all you little buggers get the hell off my lawn!

One thing that will happen here is that we will get to see the hypocritical side of NFL policies. If this had been a player he would already be on the commissioner exempt list. But I am sure the NFL line will be "innocent until proven guilty" in this case. It will be interesting to see if the NFL goes after a copy of the tape of him both times.

I don't know if anyone else saw it. But on one of the major news outlets a guy was saying that this was a set up and a conspiracy against Kraft and the Pats. The guy was foaming at the mouth claiming it was all gonna come out soon. It was interesting to watch. The talking head doing the interview just kept nodding in agreement.

What kind of penalty applies to Kraft though?
Players can be suspended (which means nothing at this time of year) but how do you suspend an owner?
