How embarrassing. How fricking stupid would you feel getting suspended for being a low life woman abuser.

Where do people like this come from? Where do guys like Winslow, Jr. come from? How do these guys get in the NFL?

What a wacky month June has been all around!

Can we get to the Rams season already? I need the distraction of watching them crushing it big league!

Maybe Jameis should have watched this Amy Schumer clip, below.

New HS football coach installs a “no raping” rule. His players complain:

“What if it’s Halloween and she’s dressed like a sexy cat?”

“ What if my Mom’s the DA and she won’t prosecute?”

Here’s the clip. Best scene starts about a minute into it.

Okay, some cold hard facts..... women get harassed...
...., whaddaya gonna do?

Men get harassed too. when I was a school aged boy, I was often touched inappropirately by a female teacher.

In high school, a female that I never met reached out and grabbed my crotch. It was countless times that females would rub their boobs on my arm, wear low cut blouses and purposely lean over.

.... just some cold hard facts ... but whaddaya gonna do?

Anyone remember Michael Douglas and Demi Moore in Disclosure?

Any and all posts mentioning presidents, former presidents, political figures, or hinting at or insinuating anything about political parties or SJW opinions have been and will continue to be deleted.
CRAP!! I was soooo about to post a perfectly fitting GHBTP meme. I will refrain....

I can't say for certain that he did what he was accused of, but he's had accusations like this follow him around since college. Where there is smoke, there's usually fire. I want to know how they decided on 3 games. Zeke Elliott got 6 games. Shouldn't that be the standard? Was Elliott's extra 3 games because Roger Goodell hates Jerry Jones?

Football player, or any pro athlete for that matter, should go through the legal system just like any other millionaire celebrity before the league takes any action. If convicted of a serious crime like rape, they should be kicked out of the league and their contract terminated. I'm sure there are several pages in the NFL labor contract about team discipline in situations like this pending an investigation.

I'll try to sanitize this as much as possible to avoid political insinuations so....
The inference that "The NFL" is covering this stuff up, particularly "Old White guys" is just out of touch with the fact that these decisions are made with the SUPPORT of the players association. If "The NFL" is guilty of covering things up for their own good, the Players association is complicit

This doesn't appear to be a case of whether he did it or not, he clearly did. The issue is how the NFL governs this without Winston being convicted of any wrong doing. Like the Zeke sitch

Yeah... I love him as a actor and literally don't know if it's right to separate him as a person or they are one in the same. Sigh. Why?
I hear ya.
It's discouraging and just the tip.
He is amazing actor. No one does seething resentment as well.
There is a reason in his past....not excusing him even 1% for his alleged actions. There is a reason that profession is full of narcissistic types. I have a relative with is a writer/producer/actor (currently on Billions) who has told me stories that will make your toes curl.

The problem the NFL has is they have a business that is in the public eye, heavy scrutiny. Much heavier than other businesses.
Multiple reasons for that.
If someone ran a business, say, delivering produce to stores and restaurants and they had issues with drivers committing crimes they could just fire said drivers and hire more.
The NFL is not in that situation.
So, they judge first and find out about guilt later. It used to be the opposite as the league would cover stuff up. That is impossible to do now, so, they are aggressive about it.

Blah blah blah blah? Good job, that’s hard to argue against.

We’ll agree to disagree. I think the groping incident is further evidence of a pattern of conduct. You don’t.

Okay. Just glad you weren’t on the Bill Cosby jury.
Blah blah blah because you're regurgitating the same thing. I hate the guy as well. But this isn't a culmative scumbag effort suspension. The thing that pisses me off is the NFL suspending a guy for not reporting an accusation to them fast enough . The rule where players have to report incidents fast was instituted 8 months after this incident. If they want to suspend him for groping somebody then do it. But what they're doing is shady as hell.

Jameis Winston’s Likely Suspension Threatening a Critical Season for Both QB and Franchise
By ALBERT BREER

It’d be one thing if the sexual assault accusations against Jameis Winston—he allegedly groped an Uber driver in March 2016—came out of nowhere and were completely out of character for the Buccaneers’ young quarterback. Maybe the NFL’s investigators would be more inclined to take Winston’s word on what happened that night back in March 2016, just months after his rookie year concluded. Then maybe the whole organization would come out of it OK.

And therein’s the problem, as we assess the looming sanctions coming down on the 2015 No. 1 overall pick who’s heading into his fourth year as a pro.

Winston came into the league with a rep for being immature off the field. He was accused of sexual assault at Florida State (though he was never formally charged after reaching a settlement with the accusor). He was involved in two shoplifting incidents (he did 20 hours of community service to avoid charges in one and charges weren’t pressed in the other). And then, there was the suspension for the first half of a 2014 game against Clemson after he stood on a table at yelled an obscenity in the FSU student union.

The Bucs knew, like everyone else did, what the risk was in taking Winston as the No. 1 pick. Other teams picking in the upper reaches of the 2015 draft that did their homework on him did too—“It wasn’t terrible,” said one exec from one of those teams, “but he is who he is, not really the kind of kid you’d want as your franchise QB.”

And as for Winston himself, he knew full well that, because of the seriousness of the allegations he faced in college, he’d lost any benefit of the doubt he might have had previously. That’s just reality.

We’ll see if the suspension sticks. As of late last night, the Bucs still hadn’t been informed of the sanctions, which means the league’s process isn’t yet complete. And an appeal is still possible, but indications are that Winston may work with the league to put this behind him and the team.

So here are five things to know …

1. After the Josh Brown situation in 2016, the league office is going to err on the side of caution in sexual assault cases. The Bucs felt like this was, very much, a he said/she said situation. But so was the Ezekiel Elliott case, and the Cowboys star wound up serving a six-game suspension.

Where the Ray Rice/Adrian Peterson/Greg Hardy accusations of 2014 were the impetus for the implementation of the current policy on sexual assault, it was the mishandling of the Brown case two years ago (where damning evidence came into the public eye after the league sanctioned the Giants kicker) that pushed enforcement into high gear.

So from the minute Lisa Friel and her crew launched this investigation, Winston was always going to have a high bar to clear to be exonerated.

2. The Bucs’ signing back of Ryan Fitzpatrick at a rate of $3.3 million makes sense now. Maybe Ryan Griffin wows everyone in camp and changes the equation, but for a team that sunk resources in winning in 2018 (trading for Jason Pierre-Paul and Vinny Curry, signing Ryan Jensen, etc.), having America’s pinch-hitter on board is important now. Tampa’s three-game start to the season doesn’t give the team much cushion—at New Orleans, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh—and it wouldn’t be easy to rebound from a bad start in a very tough division

3. Jobs are on the line. If Jon Gruden had decided he wanted to stay home and coach in Tampa and not got to Oakland, there’s a pretty decent chance Dirk Koetter would already be gone. And after two years without a playoff berth, that puts him in the crosshairs going into the 2018 season.

Many of his assistants are in contract years, making this year a critical one for the staff, and a logical one for ownership to make a clean break in if things go south. And this is GM Jason Licht’s fifth year in charge. If Koetter’s gone, would he get another coaching hire?

4. Winston’s not necessarily safe either. I don’t think the Bucs are going to move on him now, but it’s fair to ask whether this will affect their willingness to go through with his $20.922 million option for 2019. That money is guaranteed for injury only, and so if he can pass a physical in March, the team can cut him without penalty. Would they?

Through three years, and 45 starts, he’s got a 69-44 TD-INT ratio and an 87.2 passer rating. Good, but not great numbers—and certainly not enough to make him complete safe if a new coach and/or GM is evaluating the organization top-to-bottom seven months from now, particularly with the standard pay on new deals for franchise quarterbacks now in the neighborhood of $30 million per year.

5. Things aren’t all bad with Winston. Last night, one coach told me that he’s been a “stud” as a teammate and a worker the last few years. He’s absolutely a leader there, and is dedicated to football, and has shown potential. So it’s easy to sit here today, in the wake of this news, and say “cut the cord”. Given how difficult it is to find a franchise quarterback, and the work the Bucs have put in with Winston, it’d be a lot hard to actually do it.

If it's all true, at some point Jameis' behaviors are going to catch up to him with more significant results than a short suspension. I've always liked his leadership, just think he needs to grow up and if he does have those behaviors he needs to grow out of them before that happens.

I've always felt it's kind of a shame how celebrities have all the opportunity in the world to slay some, well you know, but can't fully take advantage of it. And I'm talking just regular usage of their fame to be "players" with women or whatever. I mean like Brad Pitt for example is a guy who could walk in any bar he wants and slay it, but the fallout wouldn't be worth the benefits.

And that's where Jameis' behavior (if true) is really concerning for myself at least. I mean you're famous dude, there's no end of options out there for you, just gotta be smart. In the end that might be his problem, tbh.

Fair enough. Glad to hear you hate him, frankly.

Lots of complicated stuff going on in the Jameis case. For me, I’m not as concerned with the Uber incident, or how it was reported, or why and how he got suspended by the NFL. To me, it’s just an awful reminder of how Jameis did something horrific back at FSU, then got away with it. That poor girl got raped, had the guts to report it, then got ignored by the police and shamed by the public.

So I’ll acknowledge that my reaction to Jameis is visceral and personal. I don’t care about how many games he misses, because if not for a few shady cops in Tallahassee, he wouldn’t be playing at all. He’d be where he belongs— in prison.

Now that we have ridded the world of sexual harassment, ROD can focus on world hunger or peace in the Middle-East!!

All joking aside, sexual harassment is an ongoing problem that is only getting worse in this country. No matter how we individually feel about this problem, or about Mr. Winston, I think we can all agree that we are happy we don't have ass-hats like him on our beloved Rams!!

The Ryan Fitzpatrick curse seems more legit than the Madden curse these days.

I'm glad we have Goff.

I tend to agree that there is a pattern of predatorial behaviour with Winston.
I wouldn't be surprised at all, if there are far more victims out there, that just havent come out in the open with it. We all know, that many victims just want to hide and get away from this type of abuse.

Winston has displayed far more than just misogynistic behaviour. He's showing himself to be a predator
