We owe them for taking their QB and winning a trophy with him.
The Rams got the short term boost they needed to put the offense over the top. The Lions were never gonna do it with Stafford so they got the trade they needed to boost their rebuild. Both should feel good about the deal and continue to work together on future deals.

We don't owe them shit. We have them there potential QB of the next few years and a few first round picks. We didn't pay off there mortgage, or debt. We have them a luxurious trade package for a QB who requested out.

We don't owe them, they don't owe us.

A 2nd rd pick,maybe a 1st.?
The Rams gave up 2 1st.rd picks & a 4th.

So me 1 report of The Rams getting anything close to what they gave up.
There are no reports. Only speculation. There’s a difference.

I've gotten spoiled by the Rams' "F them picks" strategy. Now I'm greedy and want the Rams to trade picks for PROVEN players. Sure wish they had been able to swing the trade for either CMC or Burns.

Now, I'm freaked out by the thought of "appreciate dem picks". Seems like such a gamble to trade a PROVEN all-pro like Ramsey for the "unknown" of a mid to late 1st rounder.
Learn, adapt, overcome. The front office seems to live by this and I love it. It seems this past year we saw other teams take on the "F them picks" mantra and because of that we priced ourselves out of those offseason and midseason steals we were known for. So now time to switch tactics back the other way while we reload.
The vid in the link is interesting and worth watching. Basically, the guy is saying that trading Ramsey would be a great move for the Rams. He argues that losing teams tend to invest too much cap space for one "shut down" corner. He says it's a better strategy to have several mid-level, medium-paid corners instead.
I would mostly agree with that sentiment... or at least think it is a good strategy. Having a shut down corner is great when you have a few pass rusher like AD and Von Miller. But with an aging AD with only a couple of realistic seasons left in him it is probably better to pivot to trying to find as much cheap talent as possible on defense. Hope you nail a few studs in the draft to build around and with the defense Morris runs load up on those midlevel guys who are at least smart and maintain assignments while McVay does what he needs to do on offense to score points.

As I mentioned during the season, I think Ramsey's skills are starting to decline. Having said that, he still plays at a Pro Bowl level. If the Rams FO does not think that they can contend for a title this year, they should trade him while they can still get good compensation. If they believe they can contend, then by all means they should keep Ramsey one more year. I'd rather see Floyd cut.

I can't get my head around trading away JR. In my opinion, if we trade JR away we are going full-on CLOWN SHOW.

Right? Trading away leaders often ends in disaster

Kinda reminds me when we traded our leader Goff and how that ended…

Except Ramsey is not used as a shut down corner in Raheems defense. He is used in the Star formation and is all over the place. This is why I don't understand why people think Ramsey is gonna be traded. He's an intricate piece to Raheems defense.

Many of us think it's going to happen because of all the chatter out there.
Most of us who think it's going to happen, do not want it to happen.

I think the Rams can take his big 2023 cap number down with an extension of a couple years. However, I have seen no reports that the Rams are looking to do that.

If Raheem got a HC job, I could see the Rams trading JR, but since Morris is coming back, I believe we keep JR.

Aha moment. Maybe that’s the plan. Plan A is to extend Ramsey, kick some $$ down the road and move him to Safety in couple years. But entertaining Plan B of seeing any teams willing to release a mother lode for him in a trade. Just hope JR is privy yo what Rams are thinking because he’s an emotional time bomb.

You don’t think there would have been reports about a potential cap-savings extension?

When's the last time we heard of a Rams extension? We've heard of a few, but they're pretty secretive about it.

There are no reports. Only speculation. There’s a difference.
Alright then- I’ll ask you what you think The Rams will get for Jalen Ramsey & if The Rams will actually trade him?
—This Crap leaking like this is a HECK of a lot more than Smoke.(imo) — Jalen Ramsey & his social media to me clarify’s this.
I also believe The Rams are trying to add value for a trade so there will be bidding, because there so many teams are involved & every NFL TEAM knows it.
Reports - EXTRA EXTRA - EXTRA EXTRA - EXTRA - yeah I’m sure we can figure it out.

There is a thing about speculation- sometimes there is enough SIGNS to add to the Publicity. You’re telling there isn’t MULTIPLE REPORTS!! Just look at The Reports- Articles-SOURCES— so when you look at speculation then always look at the SOURCES to see if there TRUE(coyote news-lol).Even if it is coming out of different sources, those sources also tell the TRUTH at times.
-FACT is The Rams it’s only a matter of time.We have all been down this road many of times.Once the New NFL season opens up is when we really find out Jalen Ramsey’s value.
Those reports or speculation only brings this to a BIGGER Light.
That so called whatever he is was QB with the Browns sure got paid, but don’t know what his trade value was. Rusell going to Denver only Hurts The Rams. That was VALUE,so my hope is The Rams playing there Cards ups his value.

At this point I just want the Jalen issue resolved and I can get back to other unimportant concerns. Trade him, extend him, whatever - just do it already.

There are no reports. Lots of people speculating does not equate to reports. Most don't even claim to have sources. So, no.... I don't put any stock in the speculation.

That said, since you asked me to speculate, I'll say that I'd think the Rams could probably find a trade partner who would put up a first round pick and maybe a mid-round pick or two. Another key would be whether we can designate this as a post-June 1 transaction to clear more cap space.

Time will tell.

There is one CB in this years draft that reminds me a bit of Ramsey, Devon Witherspoon. If we can somehow get him in the draft by trading Ramsey, I'd feel a lot better about it. Problem is, I've seen him range from top 10 to around 20, so its tough to get a read on him. If we could get Lions #18 and their top 2nd and somehow, someway he falls to 18, I won't be mad.

Excuse the music:
Witherspoon

Dude lays the wood down on runs, seems to be sticky in coverage, and has that dog in him like JR.

How is that ? Really, you have paid attention to Jalen Ramsey’s career & person?
Do you understand what Sean Mcvay brought with him when he first became The Rams HC. Players wore it just as a reminder.
I think if you haven’t paid attention then you’re missing the BIG PICTURE!!
Example- where is Jalen Ramsey’s value right now? Do I think Jalen Ramsey is going to be a HOF player? Then again do I notice a lot of the little things?

I’ve been a Jalen Ramsey Fan.I’ve enjoyed him as a Ram.I love the way he has grown as a MAN & PLAYER!!!
The Rams keeping JR vs trading JR makes way to much sense, not to trade him.
In FACT Jalen is actually looking forward to Change!! He never was going to be a forever Ram!!

Want to talk AD99?? Where the Clown Show?? There is a BIG difference.

With Jalen it won’t be a wait & see. The Rams won’t run business that way, because of the negative.
Here is real speculation & says it has a source. Lmao - want to talk about a LIER(coyote news),this guy HATES The Rams. His BOYFRIEND BUDDY Simms is a niner Lover.
