That is all fair, but the trend is not pointing up, it is pointing down.

I'm not so sure about that, Doc. Offense isn't looking as good, but the defense is looking far better.

@DR RAM is not wrong there are areas of concerned, but I also believe they might of uncovered something last night with teams utilizing the Patriot defense is run right at it. Seem to get some major real estate running right up the gut.

Problem is, it not exciting and you have to be patient and Goff should not audible out of it. Some penalties for Demby, but he did not get Goff killed, so hopefully Blythe is back next week and the Rams can solve some offense issues at home before they play that team up North.

Frankly, outside of the Garrett strip sack, Demby wasn't terrible when he knew his assignment and the snap count. Issue is that he blew three assignments and had at least two false starts.

I have some concerns for sure and I really want to see the O improve. However I just can't shit all over Mcvay or Goff or be angry at them, because I remember being the laughing stock of NFL for over a decade, I remember where we've been and where we are now so I just can't get down on this team even after an ugly win. I love these guys and I'm so thankful they make football exciting to watch again.

I am happy. 3-0. There are areas where we can improve. But a win in a tough environment, across the country on the first Sunday night game there in forever against a team with a lot of talent is a quality win. We aren't going to win in blowouts every week. Without the drops and the unfortunate time out on the late 3rd and long conversion, Goff has a pretty good game. He should have checked down to Gurley on the last pic.

I have lived through a LOT of bad years, so I am good with 3-0. I think the winning over the last 2+ years has reset fans expectations to the point where if we aren't blowing teams out, then something is terribly wrong. It is tough to win on the road in the NFL. It is impossible to play your best every week.

Hopefully they get some things cleaned up, some of the younger guys continue to improve, and things start really clicking in the 2nd half of the season, and the Rams go on another deep post season run.

I became a much happier person when I learned to manage my expectations. Poorly calibrated expectations can really make you miserable, when you shouldn't be.

The late night games suck on the next morning.

I am soooo tired... but the WIN will get me through the pain.

Considering some of the mistakes seemed major, false start at the goal line with Richardson baiting him by moving sideways, thank goodness Goff hits Kupp for the TD....Overall, it was not bad didn't help that I had a good friend of mine and fellow Ram comrade texting "Cut Him" after the three miscues.

Haha.
A replace him with whom?
The dye is cast.
I did see some improvement from him in stretches last night but he just doesn’t appear super athletic and loses balance easily.
Really looking forward to Sue walking him back into the pocket next week (blue font).
One stretch run to the left he turned like he going to pursue a defender in the reverse of the flow of play, getting in Havs way. After the play Hav is pointing to him to keep with the flow of the play.
He seems a bit overwhelmed still.
Being a fly on the wall in the OL meeting watching film would be interesting to see how they address the issues.

False starts are going to happen when a guy is facing physically more talented players.
Not an excuse, just how it goes.
Grob has improved as well. Kush look solid for the most part.
Happy for both those guys getting their careers going.

Hoping Blythe is back next week, thought Allen played well last night, seem the runs inside was off of him.

Miscues aside, that was about the most exciting final 2 minutes I've seen in quite a while. I love a defensive win every bit as much as an offensive win. I have no problem with a sluggish offensive start to the season when the defense is more than capable of giving them the latitude to figure it out. Not even worried about it right now.

True regarding Allen.
I would want Blythe healed up enough to avoid a re injury.
I think we will be treated to one more week of the Demby show.

Me too.
The whining is killing me.
Anyway, the plan was pretty clear heading into the season.
Improve the D and the OL is going to have some growing pains.
Teams attack other teams weaknesses. Expect to see more stacked fronts.
The Rams D is giving up 16 points a game so far on average. That is going to win a lot of games.
There will be a game where they get smoked....this is the modern NFL.
I’m sure McVay and Co was not expecting slow starts and struggles this much on O....but, this was the blueprint.

Couldn't see the game last night, I may have more thoughts after I see full highlights but wow what a game - by GOFF. Showed why we drafted him. The strip fumble was unfortunate & he held the ball a bit too long on that play but both INT's were tip drills. The passes he made were very well done, in the right spots, leading receivers, etc. Constantly moving out of trouble to buy time. We are so spoiled guys by our expectations of 30+ ppg from most of last year that we overlook things like
- 2 Browns CB's last night weren't starters this season but some were last season, so we expected to roast them when we didn't
- Hostile environment
- Poor field conditions (wind)
- Teams now using the Cheatriots 6-1 D every time
And, despite these things, Goff showed why we drafted him, manning up in the 2nd half to make throws he needed, not getting rattled by his mistakes or others' mistakes.
Plus.... that D.... flushing Mayberry out over & over, the sacks near their own goal line, the Weddle hits (OBJ made a catch but boy did he pay for it :), the INT by our very own JJIII in the EZ, the pass batted away by our ROOK Rapp, I could go on. What a game by our D. We got gashed a bit by draw plays (they went for big gains earlier in the game, and we had trouble with draw plays a lot last year, so I actually don't fault Kitchens for trying it on 4th down) but otherwise they held TGII's fellow Dawg Chubb in check. Weddle knifing in to stop that draw play dead was beautiful - what a crunching hitter he is. No wonder he likes crunchy things in his ice cream. All in all this is the best Rams D I've seen since I've been a fan & I've seen some pretty decent ones & it's only game 3.
I didn't see the drops (not usually in a highlights...) but our receivers are top notch. Kupp put on a clinic, his head fake right when he broke to the left was a work of art. Crafty he is. Cooks with some great catches. The double-reverse for a big gainer. Well done boys.
I didn't see much of Gurley on the highlights but just saw a block he put on a free rusher that knocked him backwards, so I can't say yet he's lost his drive the game. Kupp got a TD on that play.

This is a great team. We salivate over the toys other teams put on display yesterday but I'll take our team over anyone elses. Gutsy win in a hostile environment.

This defense is awesome and it'll get better yet. If they can continue to hang on and keep from getting gassed to get us through a game or two until the offense has time to get a rhythm then the sky's the limit.
