I'm guessing if you think the guy is going to get cut and someone ahead of you on the waiver wire is going to grab him, you make the move. Hopefully he'll be a good addition.

Ouch. That doesn’t sound so great.
Agreed. On a side note, I'm beginning to wonder about Jordan Fuller (trade). His cap number jumped up to $2,785,667 this year and Quentin Lake seems all the rage at camp in the comments I've read.
I’m all for moving Fuller. I’ve never been impressed. He is too limited athletically, even if he is very football smart. Plus, hasn’t he had two injuries that caused him to miss a considerable amount of time.
Seriously, what proof in a game, makes you think Boom is decent at all at Guard? It seems like a McVay fantasy to me.
There is no proof of that. He looked bad at left guard. I don’t know why he’d be any better at right guard.

Does everybody recall all of the Anchrum praise we’ve heard through the last few years? Apparently that was just BS.

I also believe that the Rams are trying to get Noteboom on the field because they are paying him.

I haven’t liked this groups Oline pickups since McVay’s first year. It got so bad that the Rams were desperate and resigned two injury prone players. One got a pretty big contract.

If it were my decision, Noteboom and Bruss would both be gone. Thomas has shown more potential than either. I would ditch Allen too. McCallister can backup Shelton. This nightmare of plugging in subpar and oft injured players is ridiculous. End it please!

I don't have any (I guess there's some evidence back when he played LG?). What makes you think I think he's a decent guard?

Not even Whit? I'd have to disagree strongly with that.

Because you insert him as starting Guard over Anchrum or anyone else. I have ZERO confidence in him at Guard, but think he is a good back up at LT.

.

Bruss cannot be on the field this season. Stafford will be killed. He definitely needs more seasoning before he can be trusted.

.
I agree.

This doesn’t appear to be a Noteboom issue, but a Bruss issue.

Have you not been paying attention to the reporting? Jourdan has reported more than once now she believes they and specifically McVay wants Boom at RG. They were giving Boom reps there on the 1st team before he got injured.

Maybe you're mistaking my taking the available information and making a logical conclusion for something else?

You are believing the reporting and the McVay fantasy of making chicken salad out of chicken shyte. Boom at Guard, left or right, is a recipe for a Stafford. disaster Use your own eyes and watch him playing Guard. He is not good.

She based her opinion on the fact that McVay said Noteboom is one the 5 best Olineman on the team. Problem with her assumption is that if McVay thought the three OTs, Jackson, Havenstein, and Noteboom was three of those five, that doesn’t make Noteboom 1 of the 2 best OG’s, so her reasoning is flawed in this case, which isn’t normal for her.

"From Dotson" I tell him what’s coming and he still can’t do anything about it, that’s the type of stuff that breaks your will. We’ve had games like that before. In a game that we won by a large margin, I’ve been able to tell the defensive linemen in front of me that I know you can’t stop it. We’re about to run inside zone to the right. It still goes for 20 yards a pop. That’s something that can really kill them.
Yeah don't do this!

Not a big deal but this statement seems to be wrong. If I read right, the Steelers moved up one round in '24 and down one in '25.

"meaning they still managed to move up a round in two drafts for surrendering a likely cut candidate."
I think we traded down in both drafts.

After watching the failure of Bruss and the prospect of Noteboom becoming the starter at RG, I am excited about Dotson at RG. Either as the starter or the back up.
