Again, had Denver not waited until free agency was just about over, he would have gotten a better gig. Carolina gave 97% of the opps to Mcaffrey. Nothing he could do about that.
Lance Dunbar had 473 rushing yards in 6 seasons, Anderson had 1,000 last year.
Good comparison

Cunningham didn't do much for me.
I liked watching him play but he was an solid back up. I like Brown. I wouldn't say is hugely better than the other.
If Brown leaves i would expect Kelly to be able to fill that role well.

Hopefully Gurley is good to go, and Anderson can replace Brown's production. If not, I still have high hopes for Kelly.

From highlights it looks like CJ is pretty good at quickly exploiting holes (and apparently can catch from the few I saw). I could see him working out really well in our O, and loosening things up again for the rest of our playmakers.

I would just start Anderson. No reason to risk Todd’s health against the worst team in the league. We only need 20 points to win anyway.

The top injury to watch on Sunday, given the circumstances (real and fantasy), involves Rams RB Todd Gurley. He is listed as questionable with a knee injury and I’m told this is truly a game-time decision, which is to say it could be in question past the 1 p.m. kickoffs (which I’d imagine creates a tough spot for some of you).

Sean McVay’s team is more prepared for it, with new addition C.J. Anderson ready to go if needed. One coach I talked to said Anderson showed himself to be a pro in how he worked and how quickly he picked up the Rams’ protections. He was at the facility very early all week.

Anderson excels at running in zone blocking schemes which is what we run. I have no doubt he can average just over 4 yards a carry in this offense. It's the passing game responsibilities that he'll have to pick up quickly to not hurt us. But I see no reason they can't use a combo of Anderson and Kelly to get enough production out of the RB position the rest of the season to win these last two games. Make sure Gurley is as close to 100% as possible for the playoffs is all that matters.

So how is it possible that 31 other teams couldn’t have used C.J Anderson? He still runs low and strong just like I remember.

167 yards in his first game back? I love this signing.

Sometimes the perfect fit is all you need. He could easily be a 1200 rusher in this offense.

Bad teams don't want an old vet. I guess good teams didn't need a HB?
