No, just like the clippers will never have the allure of the Lakers

If the clippers won a title, 2 titles, 3 in 10 years - they would be THE LA thing and you know it. Winning is what matters, not the city, not the stadium, not the brand - winning.

From Free Agency we still need a thumper ILB and a stud EDGE rusher. Add some Draft picks (DT, CB, S) and this D could be top 5 next year. I do also believe Brockers is being evaluated for trade/restructure/release. I prefer he restructure/beef up and man the NT position.

Hard to see us not looking at Houston. He would be an upgrade over Fowler

Gonna have to disagree on this was Senor Mack

1) Fowler’s younger and I felt was getting better and better

2) I’ve learned to become very apprehensive over signing former stars whom after receiving the big bucks their production dropped, case in point ya see I’m an Angel fan reference Puhols ( who I always suspected was on PEDs but somehow never was caught)

Okay so I strayed a little off course, but there it is

On topic, like the Weddle signing, smart player who still has something in the tank I believe

Going to the opposing team's locker room after a game to declare you want to sign with them isn't team captain material.
Wasn't aware of that incident. A bit worrisome.

Don't want to speak for anyone, but I remember the original comment was an answer to why the Rams should covet Weddle over Thomas. One was money. One was this incident where he went into the Cowboy locker room after a Seahawks game and said something like "Come get me".

This wasn't at all about anything Weddle said/did.

Cardinals fan. Albert Pujols was never on PEDs. The guy has been tested multiple times and hasn't had even a small red flag, so I'm inclined to believe him.

His production dropped because he got old, not because of any cheating.

I heard from a friend of mine that loves baseball (Yankees fan :puke:) that Pujols had way better than 20/20 vision. The theory based on this went that he could make out the grip the pitcher had on the ball before the pitch (at least some times) and therefore was better prepared for it (when he did manage to catch enough of a glimpse). That would track pretty well with a decline in age at 30 something.

I have slightly better than 20/20 vision now, and I can tell a huge difference at 20 compared to 10 or 15 years ago.

It seems plausible, but not certain, to me.

We both have our opinions, and yes it’s true he was never implicated

However we’re just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one

Cheers

Ever read the book "The Umpire Strikes Back" by Ron Luciano? In it Luciano, a long time MLB umpire, claimed that Ted Williams could actually see the ball hitting the bat. Said Williams took him out to a field - long after he had retired - put some tar on his bat, and proceeded to call out how the ball hit his bat after every pitch. They would then confirm he was right by looking at the tar on the ball.

I have no idea how true any of that is. But I do know that professional athletes are phenomenal physical specimens, with physical talents that go way beyond what most normal people can do. So yeah, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Pujols could pick a pitcher's grip as he was throwing, and thus know what pitch was coming.

That's a true story.

There was another one. Ted Williams was taking batting practice and a reporter was talking to him about his hitting and Ted went on to illustrate what he could do. Ted said he could hit the ball on the same spot on the bat with every pitch an proceeded to do it with every pitch.

When he was done, the bat had a dent in it where he'd hit the ball each time.

If Ted Williams played today with the dilution of pitching, he'd hit .500 and break Rose's record by a mile.

He was otherworldly...

I fear this pickup is an overreaction to Joyners complete lack of productivity.

I was hoping we'd draft a true FS, with long range speed, so we could move JJ to full time SS.

We're gambling that we can get to the QB before a reciever has a chance to make a double move.

It also tells me that we're going to be playing a lot of Dime because you can't ask a 34 year old to help out in the slot.

That said at least Weddle is a thumper with high awareness who will help guys get lined up.

Absolutely. I was thinking the same thing. Weddle would have been about 7 in 1991.

His mom probably found that uniform on the clearance rack after the "ghost sack".
So that's where my Chrissy uniform went after I donated it....

Weddle is gonna be hoot...lol.
"I don't like the generic Tampa 2 Defenses...or like the Seattle 3, I probably wouldn't have came. I bring more to the table besides sitting back and being a sitting duck [backtracks]. I'm not saying that those don't work! I am just saying for me personally..I like to do more stuff..."
"I have a feeling that that one is gonna come up again..." Les Snead
'Seattle's a great organization, don't get me wrong. But remember, I'm a Ram now..BUT, I'm gonna say what I want and I'll back it up. It's all good" ~Weddle
"He's just saying that he likes that system for itself" Sean McVay

I have a feeling that the tight ship Sean runs as far as the narrative goes, is gonna get a little more unwound with Weddle! lol
