Maybe you should do a little research, because the facts stated are exactly that. Whatevs, you do youIt doesn't have a whole lot to do with Stetson being a Ram.
And more to do with people stating their opinions as fact.
Just my opinion.![]()

I saw both moviesThat's Steve Martin and Bill Murray in Little Shop of Horrors.
Trivia Question:
What future, famous actor originated the role Murray played above, in the 1960 original version of the film?
You would think after leading Georgia to back to back National Titles they would reward Bennett with an Honorary Degree at the minimum.Love to see it!
Of course he was only in college for 2 years.....
They could give him the Honorary "John Blutarsky Degree"You would think after leading Georgia to back to back National Titles they would reward Bennett with an Honorary Degree at the minimum.
Will he become a Senator after he retiresThey could give him the Honorary "John Blutarsky Degree"
/threadI'd love to see Stetson become a solid NFL starting quarterback too. Time will tell on that. But I don't believe they drafted him to be the heir apparent. I think they drafted him to be Stafford's backup. I also think he will be a nice upgrade over Wolford and Perkins as the primary backup. Hopefully he won't be needed.
Is it because he’s been in school for too long?
I basically was responding to the fact that college football players should not waste their college time because injuries happen that can derail their football career. My point about Stetson is that he was one of those college players plus he wasted 7 years of college time that could have been a degree and if he got hurt in the championship game ....dohMaybe I don’t understand the drama here.
Is it because he’s been in school for too long? School/academics and homework assignments etc aren’t for everyone. That’s a fact. Doesn’t make one any less intelligent than the fast tracked honors student.
Although, it is possible I’m Donnie in the Big Lebowski and I came in too late to this discussion.

There's surely no drama.Maybe I don’t understand the drama here.
Goff was never rated much beyond 16-18th in the league hardly defined as a "very good QB1." He had a nice second half last season, let's see what transpires now that they've caught the attention of their competition. Most of Bennett's passing issues comes from inconsistent mechanics. He's got bad habits that if he can clean them up he can be a consistent passer. The problem with short QBs is that to throw deep they must throw rainbows to get it above the DL. That allows defenders time to react to the throw. That is where having better arm strength comes in. IMO he needs better velocity on his deep passes. As I've said before I've seen nothing that says Bennett can't evolve into a good QB. I simply don't see him as their choice for QB1 long term. McVay isn't going to turn the vetting over to LaFluer and Robinson for that position. He's going to be intimately involved in the selection just as he was with Stafford. Have you all forgotten? He had a very good QB1 in Goff. History has shown Goff to be a top tier talent. But he wasn't McVay's QB. Nowhere in any of McVay's statements said he followed the guy and loved his game. He said more of that kind of stuff about Mayfield than Bennett.
No IMO the next QB1 for the Rams will be someone Sean chooses as his guy, not LaFluer and Robinson, who knows how long they will be in LA. McVay said more than once that it was LaFluer and Robinson who identified Bennett, not himself. Yes, QB2 is exactly the pick McVay would turn over to those guys to identify. I think he's already made up his mind who he wants and I'm guessing he's probably in next year's draft.
I'm happy with the pick because the Rams now have long term security at the position (QB2).
