I'm buying on Tutu at this point. I don't think this is just fluff like you see with the shitters trying to talk up Lance.
As much as I still dislike the pick I will always root for our players to succeed. If he's putting this much work into his craft then absolutely bring on Tutu the Beast! He has speed the rest of the WR corp doesn't possess. He's just got to make it translate onto the field and produce in game.

I don't think he's going to be a big impact in the pass game, for the record. But we should feel him on the schemed up plays like the screens, jet sweeps, back side wheel routes, etc. He should be able to line up correctly which means getting on the field and just build on things from there.

What I'd really like to hear, though, is that he's showing progress on punt returns. I want that speed flipping the field for us just don't want to have a heart attack each time he catches it like Tavon did to us.

Oh and btw if he is showing extremely well in the pass game then that puts heat on Jefferson which is a good thing. Competition will drive improvement.

I still don’t want him anywhere near returns and sparingly in runnuning. Size scares the shit outta me.

Darrell "key plays in the Super Bowl" Henderson.
Darrell "career high in yards last year" Henderson.
Darrell “the next tackle he breaks will be the first” Henderson

any of these nicknames don’t make the others less true. We can have issues with some of his game and still like the player.

Sure.... but giving guys a blanket nickname that's negative seems a little much to me for a guy who's helped the team win games and who was critical in the Super Bowl.

But that's me.

Doesn't worry me at all. He's not a primary factor for the passing game which means he has to produce on teams.

Now if and when he becomes a big threat for defenses then I become concerned. But for now even if he can flip the field for us in a couple games I'll take it. The guy has special speed.

Darrell “soft tissue” Henderson
Yep. I'm so frustrated with that dude. I would have moved him. I don't trust him at all he's just collecting game checks IMO.

Then no nicknames for anybody and no talking down about them either. theyve all helped win games.

Agree 100%. Idiotic pick but I hope beyond hope he gets it together this year and makes anybody who doubted him a fool.

But how then I can talk about TUTE?!

I just think there’s a middle ground and that lazy tropes become narrative rather than real breakdowns of what players are.

The Rams are paying Darrell Henderson just over $1.3M this season, the last on his rookie deal. He has appeared in 40 regular season games in 3 years (out of 49) and produced 1,831 yards from scrimmage, a 4.5 yards/carry average on the ground, and 15 total TDs.

Sounds like reasonable production from a mid-round pick being paid on a rookie deal.

Do I see us keeping him after this year? Not unless he stays healthy and ups his production.
Do I want to get rid of him now? No.

Honestly I don't know that the Rams would keep him even if he stays healthy and ups his production. That just ups his comp pick we'd get back a bit.

I think its unlikely. The hope, of course, is that Cam is able to be the RB1 and produce the way he was expected to before the injury. That leaves DH in a change-of-pace role (and he may have to hold off Williams to keep that role).

If, in the end, he plays out the contract, then moves on, I'd consider him a worthy selection who earned his keep. Nothing more, nothing less.

You have to wonder how much Gurley falling off the face of the earth to injuries affects our RB room going forward. I could honestly see nothing but guys on rookie deals and veteran minimum type guys. Of course trades for guys like Michel or similar guys are also an option though even Michel was on his rookie deal.

I tend to believe the reports on Tutu are more than fluff. He's gained what looks like 10 lbs of muscle over last season. It shows commitment and will help him. I'm going to be interested in how he looks in camp and preseason. He absolutely can't afford to get hurt this year. If he does he could fall right off the chart.

If Tutu continues to impress and OBJ is signed as anticipated, does that push Harris back to TE?
