@Elmgrovegnome.
Each one of our eventual starters looked good at points in the game despite not having a camp consistently working those positions as a unit together in their respective positions.
This will not be in normal year of camp.
So it does make it hard to predict.
But there's no doubt in my mind and if you line those players up like I suggested, (and the poll provided by Bonifay suggested), they would have a great chance of solidifying by midseason.
I don't know where any of the recommended starters that were backups.
They all started by their senior season which is the goal in college.
All of our recent draft picks could be considered under coached in college.
I never had any real reason to be that hyped about Allen and he proved that he was not ready.
I was a little surprised that Noteboom looked that bad at guard but they really are two different positions.
Sorry you feel so negatively about the situation.
I don't.
There is no miracle draft solution or free agency miracle solution to building an o line.
It has to do with coaching,
identifying and coaching up weaknesses.
Repetition and playing as a unit.
I have found that the best overall long-term lines are made out of guys that they got in the second to fourth round, sat for a year as a learned and plugged them into an already solid line.
The Patriots are a good example of this.
They rarely switch more than two players in a year and when they do it is a player who is a mid-round draft pick that they had in their system for a couple of years and are able to basically plug him in.
