I do not have a link, but Pro Football Talk (NBC) is reporting it. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Woah.

I like it. I asked about it a few weeks ago but thought there's no way in hell it'd happen. Ryan defenses are good defenses.

Now everyone reporting it is backpeddling saying it's not a done deal...yet. I guess we wait and see. I would like the hire.

Uhm. Guys, I don't know how I feel about this move. Has Rob ever ran a 4-3?

Softli tweeted they haven't hired him.

Although it sounds like they're close. Probably tomorrow.

Looks like the report was a bit premature.

According to team sources, Rams have NOT hired Rob Ryan. They are interested, maybe even intrigued is a better word. But they are very. . .

. . . .early in the process of hiring a defensive coordinator. Jeff FIsher likes to take his time on such hires.

I like Costas and Dungy, but God damn if NBC doesn't suck so fucking bad it's not funny.

Florio is the absolute worst. If he would've reported this I would've lost my shit.

Not at all a fan of this move! He doesnt even run a 4-3 scheme......

It's Cleveland and Oakland.

Dallas has had defensive problems in the backfield for years.

I wanted Robbie Ryan as a HC way back when.

As DC here...huh. Gonna be interesting. Well, we know there's gonna be even more attitude!

:bangin: :bangin: :bangin:

Also...Gregg Williams to Rob Ryan. Think about that one.

Also pt 2....Rammer...interesting handle.

I absolutly love this hire, assuming it happens, especially given that Fish comes from the Buddy Ryan coaching tree.

On a side note, I was just looking up Jeff's early history.... I didn't know that Fisher was a WR for Taft HighSchool. He's a few years older than me, but I used to play against Taft every year when I was in HS. But given the age diff, looks like I missed Jeff by a couple years.

Oh, and what's this I hear about Rob Ryan's van. I guess he's got some kinda awesome van that really stands out. Anyone know more?

not a huge fan of the move, but it is an upgrade from gregg williams. also, he doesnt have the ultimate variable that is jerry jones

AS a HC ? Are you kidding me? Attitude is way over rated... Rex Ryan does very well running his mouth and bringing all that attention their way doesnt he? His brother isn't going to be much better. I'd rather have someone promoted from within than this mess.

whats interesting about it?

That was my first reaction.

But; he's another EXPERIENCED guy on this staff.

I don't know how I feel about switching to a 3-4. It would mean another draft just trying to fill holes, whereas this draft we potentially could be adding depth and talent because we don't need to fill so many holes. I do trust Fisher's judgment though, and if he believes Rob Ryan would be a good choice, then I'll welcome him aboard, and root for him as a member of the Rams coaching staff.

If he's hired, does it mean we switch to the 3-4?
