Rams Grab Kicker Matt Gay

I remember that game like it was Yesterday.....Ferragamo to Preston Dennard to get the Rams within range and Lansford had been hurt that year as the Rams started the season with Chuck Nelson, but activated Lansford later in the season. Upset the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs that year too!

Senior year of High School back then, I knew of a few Saint Fans, went to School and relayed the message "Who Dat going to beat Dem Saints?" Dem Rams!

Lansford played in our foursome at a charity golf Tournament.
His knees were in bad shape from playing football. I believe at least one of them had been replaced.

He was a great guy though. Very fun and polite.

Loved Lansford. We've always been rather blessed with kickers haven't we. Hoping for a miracle even though I know it ain't gonna happen sigh.

with all the problems with kickers this year league wide..he is still not on an NFL roster

I remember it like it was yesterday as well. Saints could have made playoffs for the first time in their history. IIRC, that game winner was the first points the offense scored all day!

At any rate the Rams should have kept their ST coach AND found a way to keep GZ. I liked having the best duo in the NFL. Best young coach, best D linemen and best corner back in the NFL also.

Well, I have a feeling that the league has a better handle on it than you do. He cant even land a practice squad gig anywhere. And Zuerlein missed another XP today, for the money it would have taken to re-sign him, I'm pretty sure he wouldnt be a fan favorite right now either. He's actually got a higher convert % on field goals than he does on XP.
