Really? What reliable source are you referring to?
Well, you can read stories of young healthy people who have had serious complications from the vaccine, that while rare, is just as rare as any young athlete who had serious effects from Covid.

So to me it's understandable why a young healthy person, especially one who already had Covid, doesn't want the shot.

I understand that is the expectation, but there has been nothing in the last 12 months to suggest that is true. There is more evidence of the vaccine being harmful than there is of it being effective at stopping the spread of covid.
Most of the people being buried are non vaxed. That is the point of the vaccine. To keep people out of the hospital and not dead. It also cuts down on spread. But it wares down over time and needs a booster at 6 month. Most of the players are around that time frame now and should be getting the booster. Plus because there are so many people around the world and about 50% here not vaccinated the virus is now mutating again. Now more easily spread. Good news less people are dieing from it based on the data from south africa and Europe and if it becomes the dominate mutation it could help end the pandemic. Right now though the Delta is causing most the damage and being vaccinated is safer.

my brother had a compromised immune system due to drug abuse...

he had liver issues, and was advised to get the vax.. he was okay after his first vax, but was advised to get the booster...

he went into some sort of stomach/ poisoning immediately after the second vax, and was clinging to life for about a month thereafter...

he passed away the day after thanksgiving...

there is no way he should have been given either of the vax's with his condition... the whole thing with this bullshit virus is out of control... they're giving vax's just to give vax's...

his son decided to have services on the 29 of january so the family could get through the holidays...

he'll be cremated and his ashes will be scattered under a peach tree in his sons backyard....

i haven't got the vax... and i never will... i actually got covid 19 on dec 10 2019... it was scary as hell for 4 days, and i coughed for a month and a half after... on a positive note, i haven't been sick or had a cold since....

pretty soon 95% of australia's population will be fully vaccinated.

that means no more lock downs, no more checking in, no more showing your vaccination status. everything is open. that's even with omicron spreading like wildfire.

if nfl players lived in a bubble i don't think anyone would care if a player tested positive or not. but with them returning home every day and america's paltry 50% vaccination rate, it's crucial to know if a player is positive for the virus.

No one's losing freedom, guys. If it's safer for everyone to get vaxxed, and govt issues a mandate, that's not taking away your freedom. Stopping those who spread false information is also not taking away freedom. There's a line drawn and if people choose to think that they'll lose everything because they comply to something then that's their problem. The government isn't wringing their hands saying "okay we got them to vax, what else can we force them to do?"

Taking away freedom is what the third world countries and China do. If they speak against government they disappear permanently. They live in fear constantly. America is so far from that and will never be like that. So all this worry about taking away one's freedom by having people vax to prevent constant deadly disease spread and mutation is the crap that all these dead unvaxxed radio guys were spewing. You can choose to listen to them or ignore them. Personally I don't listen to ranting lunatics. A lot of suckers are just listening to the wrong people.

We don't have "overlords."

We don't have goon squads holding people down and sticking needles in their arm.

What we do have are laws, regulations and structures we've created as a country to, hopefully, serve each other better. If you want to benefit from the fruits of those structures, if you want to participate in things like commerce, education and even entertainment, it requires some give.

I'll use a popular cry... "Freedom ain't free" and it isn't created in a vacuum.

Vaccine requirements aren't novel, on any level. We've agreed to this as a society.

If the vax works then people who want the protection can get it and won't have to worry about getting hospitalized. If it doesn't work then what's the point?

For the record I took the vaccine because I believe in the science of them. But I do not believe in the govt telling Americans they need to get it.

They are novel when it comes to the federal govt. The states in the past may have enacted requirements for school children to enter public schools, but those were vax's that prevented spread and eventually eliminated those diseases. These vaccines obviously don't do that.

The idea that only unvaxed people spread this is absurd even though back in the Spring/ Summer the "expert's" claimed vaxed people couldn't get infected so if vaxed you didn't need a mask anymore.

Then it was you couldn't get sick if vaxed, but now they want to impose indoor mask mandates again.

So who is spewing nonsense?

It does work.
It doesn't work 100% and forever. But it TREMENDOUSLY reduces both your chance of getting COVID and your chances of getting severely ill from it if you do. That keeps the health systems intact.

Seatbelts work, people still die in car crashes.
Then you add to that.. car crashes aren't communicable.

Then those liberties were taken away long, long ago. Again, vaccine requirements are nothing new.
And, yes, we have all sorts of laws requiring all sorts of things, many related to health.

This is a public health issue and we've set up public health agencies with all sorts of tools, for a loooooooooooong time.

Public health is, literally, a part of your every day life.

I feel confident I would survive the Covid virus. What I couldn’t live with is if I did nothing to keep myself from getting the virus, subsequently contracting the virus and then passing it on to anyone with underlying health conditions compromising their well being. But that is just a guilty conscious character flaw that I’m afflicted with.

What they are saying is that unvaxxed people are spreading it, catching it, and getting ill at a much higher rate than those who are fully vaxxed and that's backed up by all evidence.
