Tell that to my Nephew, who now has to have a heart valve replaced when his Cardiologist told him not to get the vaccine, but the military forced him to. He was on track, and was doing great at all of his every 3 month check ups, and cardiologist saying he shouldn't need anything done until he was around 50 or 60. Then the vaccine, and now he is scheduled for a heart valve replacement in a few months. You know why people think the vaccine is safe? because the Doctor isn't allowed to say that his condition is vaccine related. 3 months ago, his heart was fine, then the vaccine, now Open heart surgery needed within a year, and the Doctor won't say it is vaccine related. He asked the doctor if in his career has has ever seen a heart deteriorate this fast, and the doctor said no, but still wouldn't call it vaccine related. Unfortunately, we are not dealing with science or even medicine at this point. It has all been politicized. They are fudging the statistics because they don't want to scare people away from the vaccine.

Damn sorry to hear that. Unfortunately nothing is 100% fool proof in life. Once again, all I'll say I hope everyone stays safe and healthy regardless of ones beliefs.

Can't they do better with the testing? Who the hell is administering it? Higbee missed a game because of a false positive test. How many games around the league are missed due to false positives? They need to be better at testing.

The tests are faulty, it doesn’t matter who administers them.

I'm going to stay out of this from a political perspective because there really isn't a way to address this without addressing the elephant in the room and that's when we cross the lines of sports to politics which I never want to do as I am no fan of politicians.

That said if the NFL won't step in here and move the game or do something they sure flex games for profit though right and I realize that's for the same day but still when it comes to money they jump through hoops.

As far as the Rams if we are indeed forced to play and these results don't fix themselves then the must have players Jalen and Obj we need those guys and obviously need to make sure they contain it and yes please keep kupp AD and Stafford in a bubble!!!

I'm tired of this virus too but I get the testing. I work in a hospital and can tell you personally how fucked up some folks lungs get. The idea is so they don't spread it to those people that end up like that. The virus in general just sucks no matter what ones opinion is. I wish this damn thing would just go away and stop fucking with everyone's lives.

So how exactly does getting vaccinated prevent spreading it to be people that may be at risk? If vaccinated players are catching it and spreading it among other vaccinated players, wouldnt that suggest the vaccine is not working as intended? If they want to force players to get vaccinated they should at least make sure the vaccine is safe and does what it is supposed to do.

The idea is they are less likely to catch it to spread it. Doesn't guarantee it though. Nothing is 100% in protecting us or ever will be. Viruses mutate. That's why getting a flu shot doesn't stop us from getting the flu. Problem with this stupid virus is it mutates like crazy apparently.

The vaccines were never supposed to stop you from contracting or spreading the virus.

The variants are most likely coming from people who are vaccinated, their bodies have been changed snd the virus is changing in those mediums.

I work in an area where all of us are vaccinated because it's required and also live in an area with tons of healthcare workers that I know personally. Many of us have not had any issues whatsoever other than the temporary aside effects of the vaccine. Doesn't mean issues won't arise in others. There are all kinds of things we could put in our bodies that just don't react right with it from vaccines, food, medications, etc. I feel for anyone's affected as none of us deserves the hurt this virus has brought.

This is a big deal to the team, so lets keep the conversation there. I understand thats a tricky line to walk with this news hitting the team directly, but everyone knows what to do. Keep the conversation politically clean.

With respect. This is about the Rams and the NFL. The NFL is doing this for nothing more than optics. Otherwise they would enforce county rule requirements, which they are most certainly not. And the reason behind that is all about $$$. Can you honestly say that if they truly enforced, mask, vax, test, and temp checks people would pay $800 or more for a couple hours of fun? I don't think so. Problem is, the NFL has allowed this to get political on their end by subjecting players to the ridiculous notion that if you get vaxed everything is A-Okay. Which it's not. What's the point of getting Vaxed if... you can still contract it, spread it, get sick from it, and miss game time from it. It makes zero sense and until the NFL changes their tune about it people are gonna get upset about it. I don't think there's a way around that.
Personally I'm surprised I don't feel differently about all of this because I lost a family member to CoVid. But I also saw other underlying issues that caused that person to get sick and eventually pass on. I'm not cold hearted but a realist and logical person. JMHO on the matter.

Understood. I'm speaking from experience with MLB and NHL; they expect mask-wearing, temperature checks, and all. I didn't want to put this into a huge argument; I'm just saying why this rule exists.

Not arguing here, just clarifying that it isnt MLB or NHL that is requiring that, each team follows the guidelines set by each city/state. So while that may be the case in St Louis, it is due to St Louis Covid rules, not MLB or NHL
