gets knifeThomas had a nice grab over the middle today.
Don’t confuse lack of targets with lack of ability. Also watch the effort Thomas puts in on blocking. You don’t cut bait on guys like that.
We'll see. I don't think he ever makes the practice squad, jmo.Reynolds caught a TD against the Saints last year in a real game. And the Rams/McVay have talked about how excited they are about him. He's a better player than Hodge. If you haven't seen much from Thomas, you haven't watched our special teams closely the past couple of years. He's the best gunner on arguably the best special teams unit. And that keeps him on the roster. I highly doubt that we keep 7 WRs. Barring injury, our WRs will be Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Reynolds, Cooper, and Thomas. Hodge isn't ready for the big time yet. He has size and hands, but the technical aspects of his game aren't there yet. He needs time on the practice squad.
How can you keep Thomas or even Reynolds just because they are tall and are suspect in catching the ball? After all of the years we sucked at picking WR's, to let a good one go to be stolen on the practice squad, just kills me.

Well, I never mentioned Cooper....NOW QUIT BOTHERIN' me bro, Great throw by the QBThey can have him, then. He was signed just before camp. That means nobody else wanted to have the guy on their 90-man roster going into camp. He's showed flashes in the preseason, but he's not ready for the big time yet. We're not going to cut an All Pro returner (Cooper), a Pro Bowl caliber special teamer (Thomas), or a very talented WR we drafted in the 4th round last year who started while Woods was out (Reynolds).
